Works Great for Solid Core Wood Door
I purchased one to replace one that had stopped working at a Vet Clinic (I am a commercial and residential repair contractor). It was super easy to install and once I turned it to the proper closing force position it was able to successfully close a fairly heavy wood door with positive air pressure pushing against trying to open it from the outside room.

Works great
Very easy to install and works great. The issue was that our 20lb dog would knock the door wide open, and I had to get out of bed to go close it. This solved the problem. I did not wind it to a higher strength and she can still open the door with ease and it closes just to the point where the door latch touches the frame. I put a fabric door stop just before it closes so she can open the door from the inside and does not get locked in the room. Anyhow, I recommend it. It is also easy to disable it by taking the peg out completely if need be. Would buy it again and probably will.

Needs greasing
Easy to install but creaks like an 80 year old. Unscrew bottom and top screws, best done off the site of installation. Note where the spring goes (They do not boing out and hit you), just gently pull apart. I used this product to thoroughly grease the spring, use your fingers to really grind it into the spring outside and in, best to wear this plastic gloves used for medical work. Then reassemble , no creak.
