Can this used to press sugar cane with the skin peeled?

As long you cut the cane in pieces that will fit the press

Can i replace just the strainer part? recently moved. parts separated. use often. please help!

Strainer is detachable (for easy cleaning). Availability of a replacement should be posed to the product manufacturer.
