Good first impression
RevolutionRace have a loyal following amongst outdoorsy types and I'd heard that their hiking trousers were highly regarded. I opted for rusty orange size L. The colour is more rusty brown than orange - the actual shade is a little darker than it appears on the photos on Amazon - but that's a minor quibble. The fabric feels nice and the fit is comfortable, they are a little long in the leg for me but that's not too much of an issue. Overall, first impressions are good: they look good and feel good. Time will tell as to how they last but this brand is known for the durability of their hiking trousers. I had been tracking the price of these trousers on Amazon and placed an order when they were dropped by £33 from their usual price, always worth watching for price shifts on products.

Great fitting
Love these. The material feels great quality, can tell they will withstand light rain and dry quick. Also feel very hard wearing. Super comfortable to wear. Best of all, the fit is great and they actually look good. I like trousers to fit well, not too baggy around the legs or seat, especially at the bottoms. These are the only walking trousers I found that also look awesome. Worth every penny

Comfortable fit. Deep pockets. Quality.
I’m 5’10”, with a 30/32 waist and a SMALL size fits well. Colour matches the images. Plenty zipped pockets, fine and deep back pocket for your phone. If you have to stretch your legs on a hike, the breeks stretch with you. All good from me.

Nervous at first , but more than I expected
I'm used to Montane Terra or Mission pants (having used for mountaineering and search and rescue activities in the past) but saw these in some social media videos (not adverts) and looked at for a little while before ordering. I was hesitant at first; as they were unknown to me and quite a high price considering.BUT having received these I'm very very impressed. The fit beautifully, they don't hang, rub, or move when bending / kneeling (like old 95 combat trouses do - for those that remember). They are a harder material that I'm used to from mountain trousers but for me I'm actually really glad, as it seams that these have multiple use and I'm not going to panic about ripping holes when crossing the unmaintained style or fence.I'm already looking at trying a jacket, AGAIN I'm normally very particular about these too as from past experience I've had to use only the best as life really did rely on them... So will let you know

Well made but...
Paid the premium price for these and really looked forward to getting them. I havee to say though I am disappointed with how tight the bottom of the legs are even on the widest opening, its like wearing those old skool trackies with elastic bottoms. The bottom of the legs are also not really made for people with large calves. Another issue I found is that fluff seems to be attracted to them a lot. The material feels more for industrial use like dickies. All the negatives aside, the quality of maufacture, number of pockets and design from the knee up is spot on.A real shame as I bought them for walking but have gone back to my craghoppers for comfort.

Sizing is a pretty big problem
I'm 5'10/178cm, usually take a 34 waist ~32 leg, sometimes a little larger and I found the sizing guide on this a bit confusing so i bought medium and XL when the medium didnt fit.- The wasit on the Medium is far too small for me, the thighs are very slim but the length is pretty much perfect.- The waist on the XL is fine but the size around the thighs is huge and the length is crazy long. Far, far too long to ever wear without looking silly and being slightly uncomfortable.RR's sizing guide claims there is only a 0.8 inch difference in inseam between these two pairs but the knee section on the medium sits perfectly for my knee whereas the XL knees are about 3.5 inches below my knee. I understand the sizing guides are estimates but there is no confusing 0.8 inches with 3+.Items themselves seem nice enough. There is one or two messy bits of stitching but that could just be trimmed with scissors. Other people have reported these trousers to be too warm for summer (because of heavy leg material) and too cold for winter (because of thin crotch/stretch material) in the UK which is where I am and that seems about right. I quickly got too warm trying them on indoors when the house temperature was about 15 degrees and that was just standing in the hallway/getting changed so I could see these being uncomfortable to walk/hike in temperatures much above ~8 celsius.
