A prefect gift
This would make a perfect gift for any adult involved in office life and “those” meetings. Pictures as some of us remember (and even then they seemed out of date!) and text to make you smile. Treated with a pinch of sarcasm, a hint of nostalgia and a large dose of hilarity this is a short easy, laugh out loud read. (I can’t put “lol” for a book that harks to the 1950’s!!)I voluntarily chose to read this ARC and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Great for crying oneself to sleep to
This book has provided me with more introspection than I had hoped for. Great for crying oneself to sleep to, knowing that the morning brings another meeting.

funny stanzas) of information and cute drawings
The Fireside Grown-Up Guide (aka The Ladybird Book) of the Meeting by Jason Hazeley & Joel Morris is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in mid-March.By, quote, "breaking down the complexity of grown-up life" through short tidbits (i.e. simple, funny stanzas) of information and cute drawings, a reader is able to be informed about meetings as being just another venue and way to talk about work, yet also a waste of one's life. Of its many topics, this book talks about the availability of snacks, the isolation of working at home, group/team-building, and the conundrum of hating work, yet bemoaning their absence from it.
