There is definitely extra room in the crotch. These jeans are cut full size with plenty of room & are made from a heavy material. I have been buying these jeans exclusively for the last 3+ years & will continue to buy them. You won't regret the purchase.

They are true fit. If you are a 42" waist and a 32" inseam then that's what you get.

No shrinkage if you wash warm/cold and dry on medium. Have washed often, husband loves them.

Q: I have big thighs are they roomy?

I think my thighs are pretty big too, and they are plenty roomy for me. But these aren't quantitative measures. I think they fit pretty much the same as other relaxed fit jeans. I bought them in hopes of finding something that will last longer. Mine always seem to fail from a belt loop ripping out on the left rear side. These are better constructed in that regard. The belt loops are wider, so have more room to sew. And they have tried to arrange so that the loops fall on seams so there is more to sew through. (But it isn't possible for every loop.) I've had mine about six months, so it isn't time for them to fail yet. Time will tell.
