Dark Nights: Metal Omnibus

interesting story line

Incredibly entertaining story, dark themes, and great use of the multiverse trend. Goes to show too much Batman can be a bad thing, yet so good. Each twisted Batman variation is interestingly designed and brought forth. The payoff in the end was a little lackluster as it misses out on a grand final battle, but enjoyed the ride nonetheless.

Metal hits at a unique time for DC comics.They're in the middle of the multi-year Watchmen reveal and readers are waiting to see where the pieces land of the classic DCU and the New 52.At a time when every behind the scenes could be the work of Dr Manhattan (or Jor El?), I suggest you take a break from the ratrace and dry Dark Nights: Metal.Metal is a cocktail comprised of classic DC nostalgia, Snyder/Capullo's Batman run, diesel fuel and Jagermeister.You'll find yourself asking "Wait, what?" several times, even if you're savvy with DC history, but the ride is a blast.
