SamaNInterior One Step Wood Seal, Stain and Varnish – Oil Based Odorless Dye - Protection for Furniture and Fine Wood (Golden Maple SAM-302, 8 oz)

This stuff works like a dream. I used a cheap orbital sander with 200 grit on the wood before applying the product, and it worked out perfectly. Each coat makes it slightly darker, and it took about three layers of the product to get the shade I wanted. It dries remarkably quick and doesn’t give off any odours. I found foam rollers worked best over sponges or brushes, and a little bit goes a very long way. It was also very easy to clean up any stray drips.

These old 50s floors were SO bad. I didn’t have time or $ to rent a proper sander and stripper, so I used my mouse sander and did a quick once over, TSP’d it, and 2 coats and it was good enough, 3 would have been perfect, but limited time, and we are replacing floors in a few months, just to look decent and keep them sealed and safe in the kids’ rooms until then.Chipped a bit while moving, but they were only 2 days freshly done, my fault. But they look great for now! Also did my veneer ugly table- matches my home now beautifully.

This product offers a 2 in 1 part where I can color the furniture as well as have the varnish on it as well. I was expecting something that would provide the same type of result as with doing it with separate product but it's not as I wanted.The color tone is good but I feel it was different to what I see on the product page but it does the job and provides a feel or renewed furniture. I could be doing it wrong since this was my first attempt however, I sanded the surface and applied it which I believe was the correct method.You can purchase and try this product however, I am not sure if this is something I could recommend because I am still confused as to the output I should have achieved.

I used this on a large piece of yellow cedar to bring out some of the warmer tones, and to have a matte finish. I followed different instructions from the ones on the container as a friend suggested applying with a soft cloth with the grain, and then wiping off excess with another soft cloth. Went on easily, and the finish is perfect. I did two coats to get the exact colour that I wanted, but could have stopped with one in terms of coverage. I like how the richer colour sunk into the wood grain to bring out the natural variation in the wood. (I did purchase a few small samples to test first, ensuring that I got the right colour for my application).
