X Type Model Mouthpiece Black-1

Have used these mouthpieces for many years, put this one on my snorkel as I like to swim laps during the winter at my gym to help stay in shape. Really makes a big difference biting down over time giving significant relief to your jaw and making the whole experience a lot more comfortable.

I've dipped this thing 3 times, it's now so thin at my rear molars that it's translucent. It feels fine fitting it, I make sure it fits right, feels comfortable for a few seconds, then take it out of my mouth. I put it back in 20 minutes later and it feels like it's shrunk. I have to bite down to get it to 'fit' again. Like the dental arch is too narrow and it won't expand to match mine. Not happy, not sure if they'll take it back.UPDATE: 7/26/19 Well, 4th time was the charm but had to leave in my mouth for a considerable amount of time and i believe I had to push outward with my tongue to assure proper fit. BUT, now fits perfectly and likes to stay put. Bumped to 4 stars as I think the instructions should ward on shrinking or having to leave in your mouth a lot longer than directions said.

Besides the significant reduction in jaw fatigue and soreness (which alone, makes this mouthpiece worth every penny), this mouthpiece helped big time with equalizing... for those of you that are like me and need to wiggle your jaw or clench/swallow in order to equalize, this will make a big difference. I molded twice, first for my bite and second to finish molding my gum-line with my finger tips, I found the bite guard to be unnecessary during the process.Trimming to size was easy, molding was easy, fitting to the regulator was easy.... what more do you want?I've bought these as gifts for my dive buddies And they love them too.

The molding process is pretty simple and feels really good before I went diving with it. It gets hard underwater (cold) and it feel like wearing braces

Definitely read AND FOLLOW the instructions (I read them 3 times). I was a little concerned about burning my mouth after dipping in the boiling water. But again if you follow directions and don't dip mouthpiece any longer than 15 seconds there is no risk of burning your gums. In fact I had to do it a second time (which is easy) cause I didn't notice I had the mouthpiece crooked in my mouth the first time. You'll definitely need to be looking in a mirror to do this properly. But the fit is excellent!!!! Very comfortable!!!

Works well and is comfortable once you customize it to your mouth. It was a little long for me so I had to trim it some to keep from gagging but once it was properly adjusted it worked very well and I found it easier to use than the OEM one that came on my Scuba Pro S550.

I followed the instructions and it works great. I have made 20 dives with it so far and it stays in my mouth with very little effort. It really reduces jaw fatigue. I did have to readjust it a couple times to get the fit from rubbing my gums but once fit it works flawlessly.

Was very easy to custom mold and the result is very comfortable. I am disappointed that I found it cheaper on the major online auction site though. Should have shopped around more before pulling the trigger.
