although they feel great, are lightweight and comfortable as they could be
I really don't know how to rate these because, although they feel great, are lightweight and comfortable as they could be, I can't shift with them on. And I mean, not difficult but almost impossible. The left boot is considerably thicker with the "shift pad" on it, and I can barely fit it under the shifter. They are kinda stiff, which is normal for motorcycles boots with decent protection. I would think for being motorcycle boots, they would be slimmer upfront to also give you a better feel on the shifter. This is on s Triumph Street Triple that I have no issues shifting wearing Justin work boots, or any other regular boot. These being motorcycle specific, you would think I would not have that issue. I'm not adjusting the shifter position to make these work because I have 0 issues with any and all other shoes. I'm buffled.

GARBAGE DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!!
I live in Colorado and put about 11K mile on my bike a year. I don't have 100 miles on these boots yet and the toe of the left boot, gear shift foot, the leather is already scuffed (not too big a deal) but the additional pad which is in place to protect the boot is already coming off. These boots are sub-quality and not manufactured well at all. Unless you have money to throw away save it for a higher quality made pair. OK, so here we are 5 months later after my wasting money on these (can i give less than 1 star I wonder) anyway the stitching on the back allowing for additional movement for shifting/braking has torn loose so now a huge hole in the back of one of these boots. If you read this and still purchase these boots I can't help you.

very comfortable
I needed a pair of protective boots for riding my MC out on the desert, yet they had to be flexible enough to hike a ways from the bike. These will be perfect.updateI had crushed my ankle a few months ago and finally got the left boot on (the right was a perfect fit) and went out for a 100 mile ride and my first impression was spot on. Love them.

Motorcycle boots
I'm only giving two stars because although they seem built well n look really good the second time wearing them the strap over at the very top that sticks to the Velcro ripped n two of the screws that hold the clasps down came out n got lost at some point which really sucked
