Great Buy!!
Totally works!! Great quality and great color match. Totally bargain for the price. They even provide 2 extra pen tips for future applications. It was super easy and you cannot tell there is curb rash on my rim. I also used it to touch up a few other small paint chip spots on my rims (maybe from car wash, not sure, but can't see them anymore!). If you look for the curb rash, sure you can tell it's been touched up when looking up close, because it's not perfectly smooth like the rest of the rim. Any other distance away, you cannot tell.Trust the reviews. The people complaining have deep curb rash that is so deeply scratched, like they want a restoration in a bottle... come on! Even so, if you did not succeed to fully paint it (yea I saw the one guys photo that looked like he did it with a sharpie lol), you're not using it correctly. I've never done this before and I could have 100% fully painted that with this pen and have no silver showing thru whatsoever!I am a woman with no kind of experience with doing any type of work on cars, besides cleaning my own car. This really is not hard and totally worth it.Btw, you don't really need the tape, however it is helpful to find the spot you had touched up (to see if you need another coat). Trust me, I did a spot without tape and couldn't find it after, which is a good thing! And no the tape doesn't stick well, idk why there are complaints about that? Why would you want tape fully stuck to your rim? It does however stay in place if you use small pieces, which you need small pieces anyhow when making a curve pattern.Edit: if you need to touch-up again, it is best to do a thicker coat, rather than attempting 2 thin coats. Apparently, dry paint on metal wants to wipe off during the second coat. I've had this for a few months now and the paint is still good. I've kept it stored upright, just in case. If you need to do another touch-up, change the tip, don't bother trying to use the old one. Still a great product!

Saved the day!
This stuff works great! I had a small scratch on a black wheel of a rental car. I had only a day to fix it. I overnighted this kit to myself and was able to fix the scratch on the wheel. I didn't use all of the kit. I just isolated the scratch the the tape, smoothened out the area, and used the pen to apply multiple coats. It takes much longer than you anticipate or they say. The paint takes a while to dry; so, multiple coats take a long time. But, it works. At first it looks shiny because it's not dry. But, once it dries, it looks great. You have to be really looking closely to find the repair.

Disguised the damage
Worked pretty well you can only tell the rim was scratched if you’re looking at it very closely. I will say it could use a better sander. Application was simple & easy. Looks much better!

Poor quality overall
I cant figure out why this has close to a 4 star review. Kit is awful. Paint pen doesnt work well, "liquid aluminum" doesnt cure... its been 6 hours and its as gooey as when it went on. Directions are lackluster.Just gonna bite the bullet and take it to a real shop.

Worked great
Worked great. I can't even see the large chip that I have. You have to go over the areas affected like 2-3 times and obviously let it dry in between. I highly recommend using this if you have black gloss wheels.

It’s an improvement
Could work a little better but it’s an improvement. My body shop said they couldn’t do anything without replacing the entire wheel because of my brand of car. My bad for messing it up!

Best bang for your buck
I bought this touch up pen after I caught the lip of a curb when backing up and scratched my wheel. The prep was easy enough. Tape around the scratch, sand the scratch to remove any sharp edges, alcohol wipe to remove debris, and then apply the paint. I’m fairly surprised with how well it turned out, the color isn’t a perfect match but it’s very close. The paint has withheld multiple washes and still looks like it did day 1. The only drawback I have is the paint didn’t dry as glossy and I was expecting. Could’ve just been my application, but again it’s not that noticeable.

100% worth the price
Bought this to cover up some curb rash on a 2017 Nissan maxima sr midnight edition. They definitely don't look new or anything but I was very happy with the results. I cleaned the spot first then "sanded" it down but stopped when I noticed I was starting to dull the surrounding paint. I would prob just avoid the sanding entirely if the damage isn't too bad. Then I filled in the rash with the paint pen about 3 times over the course of a couple hours. This was about a week ago and it rained AND I got a car wash since and the paint hasn't come off. You definitely can't even notice the cover up unless you're STARING at it up close. For $15 or whatever I paid I'm super happy
