Does what it says on the tin (kind of)
Firstly, it's a great product! Waaaaaay better than danish oil or any other cheap nonsense I’ve tried in the past. It will slightly darken untreated raw oak, bringing out the grain more than I hoped. It's still a lovely light colour on oak, but just be aware that it will change the raw appearance if that's what you're hoping to maintain. Calling it ‘natural’ leaves it open to interpretation slightly and becomes a personal preference at this point.I was torn between Osmo 3068 (NATURAL) and Osmo poly oil Raw (3044) on a new Kitchen worktop to maintain the light raw appearance of the oak. After a bit of research (not enough) It appeared like the appearance might be very similar so I went with this one (Natural) as it's specifically marketed at worktops so likely has better stain and water repellency i'd imagine. However, I haven't tried Osmo poly oil (3044) so I can't confirm on benefits or appearance after application. Consult an expert on that!Secondly, I'm convinced the bad reviews I read about the ‘Natural’ looking white, patchy or milky is down to application error or applying to darker woods - Not sure why anyone would want to lighten a darker wood anyway!? I applied with a good quality 3” soft paintbrush and 1” for edges and really worked it in (as it’s quite thick) to ensure it was properly evened out with no milkiness, I then went over it with a lint cloth to work off any residue and create a very thin layer with the intention to apply more layers in stages with a very light sand using a 250 grit sanding pad between each application, until the water is beading on the surface and then I’ll top up over time. If you see any milky areas after application, then i'd say they will almost certainly dry that way and then you'll feel compelled to moan about it on Amazon reviews saying the product is crap when really it's just you that's crap at applying it.Overall, great product but just do your research on which type is right for you and buy samples to test if you're on the fence like I was.Attached photos after 2 thin coats against the raw oak for reference, which I hope helps others.

Beautiful product. Great results
I must say I’m very impressed with this product. Used for oak worktop.Product application is really simple and very effective. If you follow all of the instructions and leave the correct drying times the results are spectacular. You can add one or two more coats too which gives a deeper colour and robust finish. 10/10

Nice finish but make sure to apply it correctly !
The finish this provides is excellent but make sure you apply it sparingly. My first attempt I brushed it on like an oil or varnish and thought that the white residue would be absorbed! It wasn’t and it required a LOT of work with the sander to get it back. Reading the instructions more carefully it is clear that applying it with a microfibre cloth works much better. Work it in like a wax polish uses much less and provides a thin coat that dries quickly and sets hard , leaving a waterproof and strong natural finish. There was little or no odour when applying it and if used correctly I think it will go a long way and so be good value for money.

Beautiful colour
We used this on a solid, acacia-wood kitchen island we were upcycling and it really brought out a lovely rich, uniform colour. However we noticed that when used on shelving slats that weren't sanded as finely it resulted in a chalkier finish.

Shows natural wood colour
I used it on block oak kitchen benches. After removing the amber finish from the previously applied Danish Oil (yuk!).The oak was a beautiful light colour under the amber finish of the Danish Oil. This Osmo 3068 shows off the beautiful colour and grain of the wood. I am very pleased with it.Surfaces are very water repellent and easy to wipe down. Recommended!

A little goes a long way
Great oil for the final coat of a wooden countertop. We used this for a bathroom oak countertop - the oak was untreated and just sanded so we used the Osmo protective base layer product to waterproof and then this product to put a top coat on and a finish. The natural option leaves the wood with a slightly clouded look so it introduces some almost lime washed effect which is subtle and looks good. Would recommend as this is the best product by far for wood treatment we’ve found in our DIY journey!! The oils seem expensive but you don’t have to use much, it being oil, so a tin will last ages. Wasn’t obviously smelly or offensive - natural oils are used. Great stuff.

Milky finish
Very easy to apply, and although the tin was small it goes a long way. Only two coats needed, so you don't have to wait for days applying multiple coats. The finish is called 'natural' and claims to be matt. I'll agree with the matt finish, though I expect it will buff to a satin finish over time. However, the finish certainly isn't natural, and has left a the surface a noticable milky colour. Preferable to the yellow colour of Danish oil, but it definitely isn't 'natural' looking any more! Hopefully it'll age over time and the original colour will come through...Although the wood doesn't really feel treated as it is matt to the touch, any water spilled beads up instantly, and I am confident the wood is fully protected.
