in short no, I bought a pair of these as a back up for my 818p ones and they are terrible I have had better sound from give away phones took them back to argos who easily exchanged for jvc gummy ones which were much better not as good as 818p ones but not far short, problem is sony have stopped making the 818p model but if you hunt around the auction sites you can still get them but price is going up
