Faithfull Water Pump Attachment 1800L Per Hour

Works well

I have only given this 4 stars as one of the 1/2 inch connectors would not lock on a hose female. Not a major issue as I had a couple of old connectors which worked fine.The pump is very good and did the job (emptying a water fetcher without having to dismantle it) in very quick time. This unit is idiot proof, its fully marked up and if the sticker comes off, the in / outlets are marked in the direction of flow at the connections. In addition, surely logic would dictate that the drill rotation would be that for normal use - clockwise. Can't see how some correspondents could not figure it out or could not make it work.The pump is self priming although I have my doubts about 10 metre head height. That said if a good head height is required you could always pre-prime the pump by putting a high flow check valve (in flow direction), towards the end of the pickup hose, and prime the hose with a bucket before putting it to work. That will help it work as long as your within specified limitation.Got a number of Faithfull items and, so far have had not issues with them, keeping in mind I am not a professional user, but, as it stands, I can't see they would have problems, commiserate with the work they do.

There are a lot of mixed reviews on this one, so here's mine.I ordered this with the intent of using it to power a small sprinkler from a water butt.Suffice to say, that it just doesn't have the oomph needed. Whilst it does (moderately) speed up the flow of water, it is not suitable for this application.I can see its only uses being to:* (slightly) speed up the process of emptying the kids' swimming pool - and I mean slightly.* pump the water butt water into the strawberry patch where a soaking pipe is used.All in all, I would look for a more beefy product.

Don't waste your time and money on this woeful product. Having just bought one I found that it was unable to do a simple job pumping out some water from a hole in my garden. It struggled to pump at a 1 metre prime. In the blurb its says "Maximum priming height is10M". This is the theoretical maximum of a vacuum pump and is set by the atmospheric air pressure, and shows that the manufacturers have not actually tested their product. The actual pump can just do 10% of this. The blurb says capacity 660 litres per hour. This would be 11 litres per minute. When I tested mine it pumped 0.5 litres in one minute at a lift of 1 metre. Maybe with a faster drill it would pump more but not 20 times more. In summary, this pump delivers 5-10% of what is claimed. It probably contravenes trade descriptions. I will now be sending my pump back to Amazon for a refund, and wonder why such poor products are allowed on the Amazon web site and are sold on Amazon Prime. Stuff like this does nothing to boost customer confidence of Amazon.

Use it to transfer between water butts simply

This pump is on amazon as pumping 1800 litres per hour, but when I received it , it says on the packaging it says 660 litres per hour, that’s a lot less than advertised on amazon , it does work ok though.
