Hercules flask up to a Herculean task
Have purchased two of these, one purchased from another supplier for coffee while I am running a market stall with my other half. When I have placed Coffee in the flask at 5am the final dregs are still piping hot at 2pm in the afternoon even though I have been drinking cups all morning and the outdoor tempratures on occasion have been close to 0c. With this in mind I had been searching for a food flask and had purchased various to find they were pretty well useless, none managed to keep the food hot for long periods even when boasting 8-10 hours! Most failed to keep food warm period! Ultimately purchased Hercules flask number two for use as a food flask, obviously it is not as good as a coventional food flask as you can't eat food directly from the flask, so it limits what food you can use it for, but as I normally have some form of soup for lunch when on the market stall, this is not a major issue, just means for chunky soups the early cups are more liquid and the last ones are more chunks than soup. Not perfect I know, but it does result in mouth scaldingly hot food being available 6 or seven hours after being placed in the flask. With this in mind it would probably work fairly well with things like pasta in sauce or rice dishes as long as the chunks are not too big.Just for information with both flasks we fill them with boiling water and leave them standing to warm up for 15-30 minutes before placing the boiling coffee/soup in them, as would be the requirement for any flask, for effective operation. (Hot water not wasted, does the washing up)Not tested the flasks ability to float but they have been dropped/knocked of tables on to concrete paving with no more than minor scratches resulting. In summary this flask is well worth the money.

Excellent Product
Solid construction. Does what it’s supposed to do in that it kept coffee hot for over eight hours on a journey from North Yorkshire to Sussex. So good we’ve bought two.

Great for workmen and a big cup!
My hubby is a builder and his last thermos flask broke when he dropped it so had to look for a new one that looked the part and did the job. We've had it a couple of weeks now and he loves it. His biggest compliment is the size of the cup lid - which as you can see in the photos is roughly the size of a large mug. It holds about 260ml of you want a direct comparison for capacity. It keeps his coffee hot all day and has survived a few knocks. Most importantly, it looks like the kind of thermos flask a builder would carry!Highly recommended.

Does what it says !!
I have tried most flasks as being a Football Dad means standing in the cold a lot !! However because it is completely sealed then no liquid can get inside the housing so it does not fail like other metal based flasks. Being metal also means dropping it does not mean smashing it so again it scores again.Hot liquid like coffee/tea/soup stays "Drinkable" hot for about 12 Hrs, but even after this time whilst it does not go cold, some may find it below likeable drinking temperature but other s may find it fine. Bear in mind that most times you would not be keeping it hot past 12 hrs anyway.Scores 9/10 for me which is a score I do not give very often . Highly Recommended.

Best thermos ever
Bought this as fed up of using flasks that don’t keep the contents warm. This is by far the best ever used! It’s a good size and the handle makes it easy to carry. Used it first for a long car journey (work related) during lockdown knowing stopping at a coffee shop was a no no. The flask was filled with coffee at 7 am and it was still hot late evening. The cup is a good size too so you get a decent drink. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

You've tried the rest now try the best
I bought this for a road trip around Iceland. I did a lot a research on the best flask for keeping water hot for a full day, knowing there would be times where we would be in the middle of nowhere and this one kept coming up as the best. I now know why. We would fill it on a morning before we left our accommodation and the water was still boiling hot by the end of the day, in fact it was still hot enough the next morning to make a coffee with. Being able to have a hot drink while stood next to a glacier was one of those nice little moments. If you need a flask that will keep the water hot all day long then this is well worth the money.

Excellent sturdy flask
Great flask, keeps drinks hot and is very sturdy - two cups would have been a bonus but not a major problem as we have two from our last thermos. More confident with stainless steel inner than the old glass technology!
