Great Product, Shame About Harts of Stur
I've always wanted a Kenwood Chef but I was worried about how much room it would take up, the cost, whether I'd use it or it would just gather dust. Now I've taken the plunge and this is brilliant. I'm a true convert. Only two small niggles. It's quite noisy. Unlike my hand whisk, I use the Chef for long periods, but the benefits of it outweigh the noise. The other small annoyance is with the supplier, Harts of Stur. I was sent a "free" knife block and knives with my order—not cheap, but unwanted. I'm a keen cook, so I already have a knife block, roll and lots of knives. Money off the Chef would have been more use to me! Secondly, there was a voucher included in my Harts parcel for a free Kenwood cookbook, "worth £20". I logged in, applied the code...and was told it had already been used. What a cheek! I emailed Kenwood direct, and they sent me a hardback copy by return. Excellent customer service and the book's good, but it's not worth anywhere near £20, IMHO.

Loving my new Kenwood. A cake bakers delight!
I bought this mixer for my daughter as I recently replaced my own Kenwood, which eventually died, after a few years thinking I could make meringues without one! No kitchen should be without Kenwood for those who enjoy baking. It's smart, attractive and achieves excellent results with minimum effort. I see they have a new and very attractive K mix but for us it was not necessary to go for a vintage look at such an extra cost. I have no complaints, it arrived well packaged and will give my daughter years of practical assistance. This model in particular was excellent value for the extra wattage, stainless steel bowl and aluminium casing.

Makes great bread and sponge mixes for a large family.
Not to much packaging arrived quicker than expected. Solid machine well made does what it says on the tin.Makes great bread and sponge mixes fro a large family. Can be noisy at high speed but that the nature of the beast. For making dough by hand takes longer, machine makes a bit of noise but gets job done quicker. great product. Also bought the attachments for vegetable prep. Made brioche and Ciabatta as well as brownies in large quantities and its great and very easy to clean.

Sturdy machine, easy to use
Sturdy machine which I have been using for bread dough mixing. It will mix enough flour for a couple of loaves. Fits together well, washes OK and the instruction book is easy to understand.

Best Buy!
It is a fantastic mixer and I have been using this since I got it. I have not had any problems so far with it. The splatter guard never leaves my mixer because it makes sure that my counter top remains clean. The mixer itself is capable of mixing Korean buttercream for 40-50 minutes without showing any problem at all. I have made pizza dough, cake mixtures and a lot of bread through this machine. Using the spanner to change the reach of the tools was easy too. I highly recommend this product!

Absolute rubbish - not like my old item
The item arrived promptly and I have only just got around to using it for the first time. I was making a cake and the whisk/beater did not go anywhere near the sides of the bowl. There is some adjustment to lower the tools but is pointless without clearing the sides of the bowl. Not like my very old Kenwood Chef and I am very disappointed. This is a manufacturing issue, not a supplier one!

It was fine for the first 12-14 months
It was fine for the first 12-14 months. Used at least once or twice a week. Most accesories still in original boxes i.e. it was well looked after.. Couple of months ago it began to occasionally not power up with the dial. Now it is dead. It appears that the manufacturers warranty is only 5 years for the more expensive models. This machine and brand are supposedly based on reliability and longevity.. Retailer is "you know who" so we don't have a chance. From our experience - poorly designed and builit and clearly overpriced and oversold.

Great medium range mixer
Pros: Takes all of the arm ache of of mixing, especially the thicker ones like dough. Came well boxed, the unit is very sturdy and well made, and easy to clean. Come with beater/dough hookYou can put most of the standard attachments in the dishwasher.2 connection points for other attachments like blender, or pasta roller, etcCons: The extra attachments are very pricy, around the £90-£100 mark, and only available from KenwoodIts great if you`re getting on in years, and a bit arthritic like me!
