Yes large is big. I'm a 12-14 and returned the large. I orderedthe medium and it fits fine still with plenty of room.

Hello. I’m a 16 and bought the XL which was good. It’s not too fitted and does have a bit of give in it.

Q: does the lace at the waist come with the dress? is it attached?

yes it does come attached. I was thrilled with this dress when it came - the only thing you will need to do is sew through the buckle on the diagonal strap as it keeps sliding down. All in all a great buy!
