Trying to save my expensive JL Audio M6 speakers!
I recently had to replace a pair of JL Audio M6 8.8" speakers mounted on the transom of my boat. The speakers were about 2.5 years old but I keep my boat on a lift in Florida, and the transom is subject to afternoon sun. The cones of the speakers became brittle and tore. They were just out of warranty. I realized that the likely culprit was not covering the speakers in the brutal Florida weather.These came and fit nicely right out of the box. I had to stretch them a bit to fit over the 8.8" speaker frame but I think that will help them stay on when it's windy. Time will tell how much they will help. The "silastic" material is fairly thin and has some stretch to it. It is a bit translucent but I'm hoping it will keep enough of the UV rays away to protect my speakers.As a side note I also bought the 10" and 6". The 10" fit nicely on my JL Audio 10" subwoofer and the 6" covered my JL M6-650 speakers. The covers slide onto the 6.5" speakers more easily than the 8.8" or the 10" but they all fit. I will update my review if anything changes with time.

Great speaker cover
This 8" cover fit the 8" Skar speaker very well and seems to do the protection thing well. Time will tell how well it holds up in the elements and protects the speakers long term.

Should have the exact measurement of the product in the description!
This item does not show the appropriate dimensions when ordering! It says “8” inch speaker cover but if your speaker is not at least “8 1/2” inches this cover will not fit properly!

Not super snug but do the job.
Not super tight fitting. But i only use them to protect my speakers. When traveling, towing my boat, etc i take them off. When parked at my house or when a dog is in the boat i put them on. No other ones on the market for this price so i am happy overall.

Fits ds18 8’s perfect
Fits great and protects the speakers from the elements during storage. Pro tip* remove before traveling, they will blow off! Other than that they work as they should!

Great value and fit for JL speakers
The 8" fit my JL M6 8.8 perfectly and the 10" fit my M6 10s perfectly.

Do not fit kicker KM8
These seem like good quality and that they would work, however they don’t fit the kicker KM8s on my boat or my rzr. Only gave it 4 starts because a diameter dimension would be very helpful.

Disappointed
Not a thing wrong with these covers except they are bigger than 8 inches, actual ID was 8.25" and too loose to fit my 8" speaker grills. I returned them but, IF these will fit your application I would highly recommend them. Seems like a quality partMore accurate descriptions, of sizes for almost anything would benefit everyone no matter what the product
