Amazing concept album
This album is a great reason why albums aren't dying. Even though its some of the heaviest music you'll hear, there's a lot of beautiful moments too. The way the story is told, almost theatrical for me, the rather surprisingly poetic lyrics and the intensity of the band to match with it is amazing. Will the vocalist is like the Maria Carey or Beyonce of harsh vocals. The guitars are heavy and the solos, while shredded, still very tasteful. The drums are like rhythmic machine guns at times but despite the chaos, still seems coherent and fitting. It is a dark story but so good and worth a listen all the way through. I'm greatly looking forward to their next album whenever that may be. I have been listening to this album so much, almost nonstop since I discovered them almost a year ago

One of the best albums of the last 5 years
When I say “one of the best” I’m not just talking about in the Metal category, I am talking overall. Yes, seriously. I’m a lifelong 42 year old metal head that grew up on the standards of Metallica and other old school thrash guys. I’ve also loved just about every genre of music out there except Pop Country (because it’s not real music). It takes a lot to impress me anymore and for a good chunk of the past 10 to 15 years I thought Metal was dying. But Lorna Shore and a handful of other bands have changed my mind. Metal is alive and well. But back to what I was saying, this album is both beautiful and brutal, it’s emotionally charged, it’s so well written, the compositions are out of this world insanity. I’ve probably listened front to back at least 50 times since buying this. I can’t truly convey what an incredible album this is. The last three songs, The Pain Remains Trilogy, are some of the most gut wrenching, heartbreaking beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I’ve never been brought to tears by a Deathcore band but somehow Will Ramos and the boys did it.

Lorna Shore just set a new standard in Metal
I had to come here and write a review, the album is that amazing! 10/10 throughout the entire album.I've been listening to Metal since I was 12. Deftones, In Flames, Soilwork, then eventually Graveworm, Dark Tranquility, Angelmaker and so on. So I'm used to it, it's my favorite genre of music. This is the first physical album I've bought in a decade, mainly because I was so impressed by their EP, that I decided to blindly buy Pain Remains without listening to any of their new music, with the exception of Sun//Eater and Into the Earth. For my very first listen, I played the entire album in my car as loud as I can, and I was not prepared for what I experienced! I was in absolute shock, awe, mesmerized and blown away! I literally laughed out loud, practically screaming at one point, because I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Will Ramos brings a new dynamic to the genre. His highs are really high, and his lows are very low, and the timing and creativity he does is impeccable. The drummer is from another world, and every player in this band are exceptionally talented! If you love Metal, any subgenre Metal, then this is a must buy for all fans of the genre.Lorna Shore's Pain Remains has set a new standard in the Metal scene, and now, I can't have it any other way!

FANTASTIC
I’m very picky about music. This album is stellar. Even those who don’t generally like metal can agree this isn’t “just screaming.” It’s amazing talent from instrumentals to vocals as well as overall composition. It’s unreal. The sounds uttered here range from soulful, heart wrenching movements to guttural, primal “tasteful vomiting.” What an absolute treat.

Fantastic, absolutely love this record top to bottom, no skips. Even my cat seems to enjoy when Lorna Shore is on.
