Best non flagship phone you can buy right now if you can deal with a bad camera.
This thing is a real joy to use. Absolutely looks and feels like a 2017 flagship phone during day to day use. Im the owner of an unlocked Galaxy S7 and theres no doubt that the S7 is objectively a much much better phone in terms of specs. I was just bored of it and envious of the new bezelless phone trend which is why i bought this.As an unlocked phone user its very hard to justify $700-1000 every year for a new flagship. If youre like me and want something that looks and feels new, exciting and on par with modern trends then this is the phone for you. You'd have to really be a "phonehead" to tell that this thing isnt a premium flagship phone. Sure its missing alot of little creature comforts here and there that you get on $800 phones but unless you're really picky about having the highest end everything then the exclusions are all things that can be lived with for this price. No fingerprint reader but for this price i can deal with the extra .5 seconds it takes to unlock with a swipe pattern.Screen is absolutely beautiful and on par with my s7 when i have it set to 1080p. This is overall by far the most luxurious feeling phone to browse the web and look at my basic apps and games on. Battery lasts about twice as long as my S7 (which is about 6 months old now). The only thing id warn about is the Camera. Its pure trash. Nearly unusable in my opinion. Takes forever to focus and the picture quality is just dreadful. Ill surely be swapping my sim back into the S7 whenever ill be traveling somewhere i might want to take pics.LG has made me a major fan with this thing and ill seriously consider whatever LG puts out as their flagship when i finally feel the need to upgrade to a high end device. I only wish i could afford the V30 right now because i can only imagine how sweet that thing must be if this phone is so good.

Okay for price but kind of slow and bad battery
Quality is okay for the price. Memory is limited but I have lots of apps anyways (41 apps + 10+ unremovable apps) and battery is on the lower end where I have to charge twice a day when I put it on airplane mode for an hour or so. Multi-screen is great and I use it all the time but it seems like all android phones have that feature. Phone processing is kind of slow and heats up quickly which causes freezing.

Not the greatest phone in the world, but great value for ~$220
Before I get into my review here's some context: my previous 2 phones was a Nexus 4 (which I loved) and a Xiami Redmi--a phone at a similar pricepoint as this on which I flashed a AOSP ROM on.I have fond memories of my Nexus 4 and generally use that as a baseline for comparisons.----So here are my thoughts on it:- Build quality is drop dead gorgeous. It gives off an expensive taste of a high end phone even though it's nowhere near the price. At first look, it looks like an all metal phone with a brushed aluminium back, but the back is in fact plastic--which is a good thing. Coming from a all metal-phone (Redmi), I know how slippery they can be. And as someone with small hands who can barely use this phone one handed, the traction of the plastic back is pretty useful.- Software: I generally like the stock android look-and-feel on my phones and was dreading having to use OEM software. The default launcher is pretty painful to use, but with Nova Launcher the pain has largely gone away. With respect to other parts of the system, like notification area or various menus, those sort of have the look-and-feel of stock. The notification area is an improvement I feel, but various menus (e.g. settings) is a step down. It's generally a PITA to find what you want. But most people aren't going to be fiddling with settings often enough for this to hold too much weight.- There is tons of bloatware as to be expected. A good chunk of them are uninstallable (e.g. Facebook, Skype, etc). But all of the Amazon Apps are baked in and cannot be removed. Furthermore, the Amazon lock screen ads are more 'in your face' than I expected. I thought I'd get an occasional ad per day, but you see an ad everytime you unlock your phone as a notification. I know you can pay to get rid of them ($70 apparently), but you should know that Amazon is definitely getting $70 worth advertising out of you.- Misc software things: the face-detection unlock is too slow and generally useless. The stock apps, like Calendar or Clock are ok, nothing to write home about. Most people will probably end up using google apps. Appears to have wifi hotspot disabled--either that or it's hidden in some corner of the cluttered settings app.- Hardware:-- Display - Super bright at 100%, but color quality is sacrificed. You normally never notice it, but if you look at black text on lightly coloured background, the text quality is significantly diminished. The display also has an annoying attribute of being too dark <40% and too bright on >60%. For reference, my Nexus 4 had a much nicer and vibrant screen. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5-- Camera - It's OK. I'll upload some pictures shortly. In bright light, things look ok but at night pictures are relatively grainy. It was a bit cloudy today, so I'll update this post as I evaluate it better conditions. Auto-stabilisation is good and pictures aren't (motion) blurred. UPDATE: After few months of use, the camera's actually brilliant in bright light. It's better than an iPhone 6s. Amazon keeps removing the sample pictures that I upload :(-- Performance - best attribute of the phone and honestly what makes it worth the price. I use my phone as a phone and a mobile-reddit-machine. I don't use it for gaming. It's smooth as butter for the tasks I use it for.-- Battery - got about 2.5 hours of screen on time from 60% -> 15%. I was using this pretty heavily as I was installing my stuff and importing settings first day. Seems to support fast charge as it charges quickly. UPDATE: Yeah battery life isn't great. It makes it to the end of the day with light use and that's it.-- Speaker - sublime and loud to my untrained ears. I'm not an audiophile.-- Wifi - only has a 2.4ghz radio. C'mon it's 2017, can we stick 5ghz radio as well? That's all I have for now. This would be a much better phone if it had a fingerprint sensor--which a lot of phones at a lower price point have. But as it stands I'd rate this phone a solid 4/5.

Awesome phone!!
I love this phone! It came preloaded with all the Amazon apps instead of a bunch of apps I'd never use.The battery stays charged all day for my usage and often even half the next day.I have used LG phones for years and didn't want to get used to a new phone. LG made it super simple to transfer everything from my old phone with just a click of a button. You need to download the apps to your old and new phones first, but it walked me through it. When you open your old apps on the new phone you do need to sign in, but bam! All my stuff was saved!!All the apps work great that were preloaded and so have all the ones I've downloaded since.I really have no negatives about this phone so far. I've had it since the release date as I preordered it.Thanks LG and Amazon for getting it right!
