Exactly what I needed for a 10+ year old Briggs V-Tech V-Twin that had a failing drain valve.
Husqvarna 23/48 lawn tractor, 23 HP engine. The valve on the engine was no longer sealing properly and was leaking. I had tried several things to get it to stop but nothing was working. Replacement was my next option.I am so grateful to have found the full kit here, it was an exact replacement for the OEM part.I loosened the engine bolts from the bottom and used a deep well 15/16ths socket.Total replacement time was under half an hour. As you need to drain the engine oil to remove the part, I went ahead and did a full engine service while I was at it.1-5 Difficulty, I would call it a 2. Pretty easy IMHO. And best of all it fixed my oil leakage problem.5 Stars and I would recommend!

Exactly what I needed to replace the damaged original valve
I bought this as a spare and for the pre-attached drain tube it comes with in case my current valve is damaged on my Snapper/Briggs & Stratton mower. The drain tube will come in handy during an oil change to route used oil into a catch pan to avoid oil dripping down the body of the mower when the drain valve is opened. Fit and function is exactly the same and is an easy install. Thank you, Bill's Place!

Do Not Buy this - can cause $$$$'s in damage to motors
I have a Craftsman riding mower with a poor design - when you remove the oil drain plug it just empties all over the chassis. So this device seemed like a great idea where I could get the oil safely into a container when changing it. WRONG. This device nearly cost me $100's in damage to the motor when it randomly decided to open up and drain the oil all over the ground. Lucky for me, I had just pulled the mower into my driveway, turned it off and was about to push it into my garage when I noticed that hot oil was spilling all over the ground. Unlucky for me is that now I have a huge mess to clean up. I guess the lucky part is that it happened when I had shut off the engine and not while I was mowing (which would have resulted in a blown engine when all of the oil drained). You can clearly see from the photo that the unit cracked so this is a huge design flaw. unbelievable! So save yourself right now. Don't buy this. If you already bought one, remove it immediately before you are sorry.
