Fellowes Powershred M-6C 6 Sheet Cross Cut Personal Shredder, Shreds Credit Cards/ Staples - Blue

I needed a simple but reliable shredder with a P-3 or better security level and having used Fellowes products many times in the past this one seemed to tick all the boxes. It is a tidy piece of kit, basically a 15 ltr bin with a shredder unit which sits neatly on the top.The power cable is over 1m and there is a master power switch on the back. There is a second safety on the top of the unit to prevent accidental turn ons. Even with the lock off and the motor on - allowing the shredder to operate when paper is fed in - a third safety kicks in if you lift the unit off the bin. Seems pretty idiot proof to me.It copes with up to 8 layers of paper at a time ( 6 sheets folded in half is 12 which is more than 8 so don't be silly ) and has no problem turning old bank cards into little shards of 4 x 50 mm. It says it copes with staples - not tried but I would expect it does.There is overheating protection too. After 5 mins continuous use it forces a 30 min pause. 5 mins is a lot of shredding and if you feed gradually you may never trigger the cut out.I suggest you also get the lubrication oil and apply that each time you empty the bin. Its also good to run it in reverse for a few seconds to clear the debris before you take the unit off for bin emptying.Conclusion? Sound and reliable, easy to use and ideal for almost any homes and more.

My new shredder arrived yesterday, and as we had a huge pile of shredding to be done, of course I had to get it set up and working as soon as possible!The first thing I noticed (once it was unpacked and plugged in) was the noise - the low level of the noise! Our previous shredder had been quite loud, especially towards the end of its life. This one has a hum to it, and I was amazed how little the noise changed even when shredding staples and credit cards. We had both of these in the pile of shredding to be done, just by coincidence, and it was a great way to test out the unit. I wondered how it would handle the staples, even though it was designed to shred them, but it didn't even blink! The noise was literally no different with just the paper to the stapled paper. The thicker the wedge of paper added to the slot, the deeper the noise became, but that is just because the motor was working that bit harder. Nothing to worry about, though.The shredder worked beautifully, and it happily shredded through all of the paperwork which had piled up since our last one gave up! I did the shredding in two sessions, simply due to the amount there was to be done, and I did not want to burn it out in the first evening. The temperature control light flickered a few times when shredding the thicker piles of paper, but nothing to cause any concern, and it merrily chomped its way through all that I fed into it.I emptied the shredder bin twice, and oiled the blades each time, as recommended. The oil was a bit messy, but that is not a review of the shredder, more the oil bottle. The window in the front of the bin is more of a smoked plastic than clear, so it is more difficult to see the paper level than perhaps it needed to be, but it was clear enough when it needed emptying, I think. Just being aware of how much paper you have shredded will help to not overload the bin. We noticed with our previous unit that if the bin was not emptied when it was getting full, the shredder blades clogged with paper if shredding continued,and I can see that this would be the case with this item as well. Therefore, little and often emptying would be advisable, even if the bin is only half full, and then you could oil the blades every other time it was emptied.For the price (I paid £42), this is an excellent bit of kit. I looked long and hard at the various options, and seriously considered spending half as much again for the 22l bin of the next model up, but I am glad I went with this unit. The bin is not massive, but for general everyday shredding which has not been piling up for a month (and had hubby's business chequebook added to the pile with who knows how many pages in it!!), it will be more than adequate. The noise level is perfectly acceptable, and feels to me like it is on the quiet side, which is great. I would currently agree with the "powershred" label, as it certainly seemed to power through everything fed into it.I am very pleased with my purchase, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy or replace a home shredder, especially if you do not wish to pay lots of money for one.

Checked the reviews before I bought, I always read the 1 star reviews first and then upover. I was a bit concerned by some of the reports stating it was cheaply made and not up to the job of shredding 8 sheets of paper. After comparing it with other reviews for other products, of similar prices, none of them seemed particularly great so I paid my money and took my chances. I must be one of the lucky ones. I am pleased to say that after shredding my way through 15 black bin bags of A4 paper, I can confirm this product works well providing you follow the instructions and don't allow it to overheat, itis robust, it doesn't seem to me to be made of unsubstantial material and it eats 8 sheets of normal A4 easily.I think it is ideal for either home or small office use.

Je suis satisfait de ce destructeur qui fait bien son Job. La coupe du papier se fait bien par petite coupe horizontale et verticale.La limite de feuilles par passage est limité à 6 feuilles Maximum, sachant que c'est un destructeur à petit prix, les engrenages internes sont en plastique, donc si on veut éviter la casse au bout de quelque jours d'utilisation, faites comme moi 2-3 feuilles max par passage et sans agrafes (c'est un destructeur de document, pas d'agrafes), de plus si en posant votre main sur le dessus de l'appareil on ressent une petite chaleur, laisser l'appareil refroidir pour éviter la casse.Je recommande ce destructeur qui est efficace et qui fait bien son travail si on ne tente pas de forcer dessus même si c'est écrit passage de 6 feuilles.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, leider ist der Aktenvernichter schon nach 4 Monaten privater Nutzung nicht mehr Funktionsfähig, seit über einen Monat versuche ich meine Garantie geltend zu machen, doch leider ohne ohne Erfolg. Wenn ich mir meine Bestellung bei Amazon aufrufe und darüber versuche Kontaktdaten wegen des Garantieanpruch zu erhalten, Fehlanzeige mir wird kein Buton für die Kontaktaufnahmen des Lieferanten angeboten, ich erhalte nur einen Buton eine Rezension zu schreiben. Ich bin total sauer, den auch die angegeben Tel.Nr. des Produkthersteller "FELLOWES" die auf dem Karton steht erweist sich als Niete, den hier erhält man permanent die Ansage das kein Anrufbeantworter vorhanden ist. Ich weis nicht mehr was ich machen soll, vielleicht hat ja jemand der diese Rezension list eine Idee.

Lourd et chauffe très vite donc quand on a beaucoup de documents à faire. J'ai déjà eu ce genre de produit mais c'était il y a bien longtemps, d'une marque discount de supermarché. Cela a fait son temps et j'ai du le changer. Ce produit était très léger avec un grand bac qui ne chauffé pas en plus cela n'était pas cher comparer à cette marque Fellowes avec qui je suis vraiment déçu. Après seulement 10 mois d'utilisation, je rajoute ceci. Je ne l'utilise pas souvent peut être une fois par mois. Lors de l'utilisation de ce produit avec seulement 5 feuilles l'appareil à commencer à fumé et même avoir débranché la prise, il y a eu des étincelles. J'ai faillis mettre le feu à la maison. Cela est inamissible d'une marque soi disant numéro 1 !

Wir werfen so ziemlich alles so rein. Nur die Lautstärke … etwas leiser wäre schön. Das Geräusch ist schon enorm, aber auch schnell durch.

Habe das Gerät ca. 10-15 mal in den letzten 1,5 Jahren verwendet, nun ist es kaputt. Ich denke, man sollte hier mehr erwarten dürfen. Es darf aus schon aus ökologischen Gesichtspunkten nicht sein, dass man Ressourcen für die Herstellung verwendet um diese dann zügig als Müll auf die Halde zu bringen.Enttäuschend war dann die Antwort von Fellow – im Grunde ist die Aussage: "wenn sie ihn kaum verwenden hält er".Hier sind die vom Support genannten Einschränkungen:"Folgende Punkte sind bei dem Gerät wichtig zu beachten:- Nie Blätter Kante an Kante hintereinander weg einschieben.- Nach jedem DIN A4-Vorgang das Schneidwerk bitte kurz auslaufen lassen.- Bitte nie mehr als 5 Seiten 80g Papier gleichzeitig einschieben.- Das Gerät benötigt nach 4 Minuten Arbeitsphase eine Abkühlzeit von ½ Stunde.Bitte diese nicht vorzeitig abbrechen.Das Modell ist ein Kleistgerät, von uns empfohlen für den gelegentlichen privaten Gebrauch und nicht geeignet um stapel-/ordnerweise gesammeltes Papier zu vernichten. Es ist nicht geeignet für ein beruflich genutztes Büro, auch nicht Homeoffice."

Il distruggidocumenti sembra di buona fattura e piuttosto robusto. Non è particolarmente rumoroso ed è poco ingombrante. E' anche piuttosto potente ma per sicurezza è meglio non caricare più di 2-3 fogli alla volta. Il fatto di essere poco ingombrante ha come contropartita che ha un cestino un po' piccolo ed essendo di lamiera traforata pur consentendo il controllo del suo riempimento lascia fuoriuscire la polvere che si genera durante l'operazione di taglio,.Comunque, seppure ancora non sottoposto ad un grande lavoro, ne do un giudizio più che buono.-.

Va muy bien, es pequeña y para uso doméstico es ideal. El único tema es que al tener documentos acumulados se debe hacer en varias fases. Dura más si no se ponen más de dos o tres hojas a la vez.

Le produit est assez compacte. 35 cm de hauteur sur 16 cm de profondeur et 32 cm de largeur. il y a 3 positions. arrêt, marche avant et arrière. A 2 ou 3 cm à l'intérieur de la fente il y a un petit contacteur qui déclenche le broyeur quand on introduit la ou les feuilles. Cette machine est uniquement pour un usage familiale. C'est a dire quelques pages de temps en temps. Après tests, il vaut mieux mettre 2 à 3 pages maximum en même temps. Sinon on entend la machine avoir du mal à découper et à chauffer. Le bac récupérateur est facile à positionner. Cela fait un peu de bruit évidement quand on l'utilise. Donc produit correct pour une utilisation occasionnelle et d'un prix abordable.

Ich habe diesen Aktenvernichter letztes Jahr während der Cyber Monday-Woche günstig bekommen können und es nicht bereut. Er vernichtet ohne Probleme alles, was ich ihm gebe... Nicht nur Papier, sondern auch EC-Karten u.ä. ohne Probleme. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung.

Ich habe lange gesucht bis ich mich für diesen Shredder entschieden hatte aber : - Schneidleistung von 6 Blatt ist utopisch, maximal 4, besser 3 Seiten ohne ihn zu quälen. - Habe mich bewusst für den Partikelschnitt entschieden, hatte früher nur Streifenschnitt, das Gerät ist trotzdem leiser als mein altes Gerät. - Es wird deutlich mehr Papierstaub erzeugt, ich empfehle deshalb die Entleerung in die Tonne ausserhalb der Wohnung. - Das Öl für das Schneidwerkzeug muss leider sein, die Geräuschentwicklung geht damit zurück !Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Gerät und seinem Preis zufrieden und hoffe auf ein paar Jahreproblemlose, gemeinsame Zusammenarbeit !

Ich habe diesen Aktenvernichter gekauft, weil ich einen kleinen und schicken neuen Aktenvernichter gesucht habe. Dieser erfüllt die Bedingungen. Er ist schwer und steht dabei sehr gut und verrichtet seine Arbeit. Die Lautstärke ist angenehm und ist deutlich leiser wie sein Vorgänger. Die Schneidleistung ist für den Privathaushalt passend. Hatte bisher keine Probleme mit Überhitzung. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Aktenvernichter. Er erfüllt seine Aufgabe zuverlässig und gut. Habe mal ca 10 Minuten am Stück Unterlagen problemlos durchlaufen lassen. Das Gerät wurde lediglich ein wenig warm. Aber ich denke das ist normal. Man darf natürlich nicht zu viel gleichzeitig durchlaufen lassen (mehr als 6 Blätter) sonst streikt der Aktenvernichter. Für den häuslichen Gebrauch absolut zu empfehlen.Das einzige was mich persönlich ein wenig stört ist, dass der Behälter relativ schnell voll wird und öfter entleert werden muss.
