Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie (100 Postcards): 100 Panoramic Postcards Card Book – 3 Oct. 2017

This is a really nice set of postcards featuring Star Wars concept and production paintings by the late great Ralph McQuarrie. There are 100 cards, featuring artwork from all three movies of the original Star Wars Trilogy, housed in a sturdy box that slides into an equally sturdy sleeve. Cleverly, the sleeve has an aperture that becomes a display window for a print of your choice.The prints themselves are of high quality and on thick, satin finish card-stock. After being lucky enough to see many of McQuarrie's works in person over the years, I can confirm the colour reproduction is good, though they are perhaps a tiny bit duller than the original works. Each piece of art is presented un-cropped and un-altered in their original widescreen aspect ratio.On the back of each card you'll find a bit of info about each painting, including the date of production, which is a nice touch. Being postcards, there's also space for messages and an address, but I doubt many will choose to use them for this purpose.If you're a fan of Star Wars and McQuarrie's work in particular, this set is well worth picking up.

I’m sure any Star Wars fan would be delighted to own this set of double sized postcard artwork sketches that were actually used to create what the style of the films should look like.The quality is amazing. I just don’t know how they have managed to do it at this price.

I bought the art post cards after buying the Ralph McQuarrie book they are a worth it. you can display the cards in the window of the box they look amazing and very cheap.a must for all star wars fans.

Wonderful artwork on good postcard stock.

Superb art, good reproductions. Many images that I have never seen before and I have extensive star wars knowledge.Only problem is the box which acts as a frame was very difficult to open and I was worried about causing damage: inner box was difficult to slide out.

Got this for my daughter and very impressed with the quality and price. Great value.
