Easily torn but good coverage

I put this shade cloth over my pergola this weekend and spent some time sitting under it. When I purchased it I wondered if it would provide enough shade or be too dark, but it was perfect for me. It also allowed the breeze to come through which is an added benefit. I love that it has grommets so I could attach it to the pergola in multiple places, which I did using bungee cords. My prior cover had a metal bar inserted into each end which didn't hold it down well in the wind.I would reduce this from 5 stars to 4.8+ for two reasons, both of which have to do with visual appeal. The grommets seem to have one side nicer than the other, but the nicer side of the grommet isn't consistently on the same side of the shade cloth. And the reinforcement tape around the edge (which I'm grateful for) meets in a spot that is pretty visible.It does feel like plastic, as expected, but I don't plan to touch it often.I purchased this 10'x16' shade cloth for $17.99 (on sale near the end of the summer) and feel like I got great value for the money.

Overall product is awesome for the money. It does have good stitching along the borders and has held up in some pretty serious rain and hail.

I bought 3 of these for a DIY patio cover, one for the top and two for the east and west sides. Easy to install, looks good and makes a huge temperature difference in the South Carolina summer. The top is on all of the time unless the winds are crazy strong, the sides are drawn back like window curtains and are used when the sun is rising/setting.

The edges seem to be good (5-layer stitch) and the grommets look ok too. However my shade cloth came with a 'seam' down the middle of it. I'm not sure how durable this will be over time. The bulk shade cloth does a good job though and the 70% shade was the right level. It is just this 'gap' that is concerning to me.

I bought this mesh to put over my pergola to keep the sun out. The mesh is true to size and appears to be well made. I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this thinking 70% blockage would be thicker and more durable that the 40% shade block cloth I was replacing. That wasn't the case. My old 40% shade cloth was thicker and better quality. On one side of this one, one of the grommets was missing; and there was a small hole (about the size of a dime) in one spot. The quality is VERY POOR. I do not recommend buying this product.

I wanted to use these sunshade in my garden. I needed them to be the 14x14 as advertised. Turns out to be 12-13x14, so a couple feet short. We made do, however the grommets are not as shown. One side has 5 across and other side has 6, and on the 6 sided are not even spaced appropriately. There is one grommet a lot closer then the rest. Overall got the shades to work with minor adjustments. Shade looks appropriate for 70%. Just put it up so don’t know how long it will last or how it does in the wind. We’ll see. Oh the quality is just ok, we have different brands with better quality, just couldn’t find the right size in the other brands. If you don’t need it exact, it will probably be ok. Was going to give one star but decided on two because we made it work.Update: a couple days in the wind and the grommets starting tearing out. I had some plastic grommets that clip on and we put a bunch of those next to the torn fabric. More wind coming up, we’ll see if those hold up.
