Brought 4 of these, received quickly, boxes in good order and ALL contents inside no missing parts. Quite easy to make (helps using a tiny flat blade screwdriver to guide some lugs into place while using a rubber mallet, which is a MUST). Flimsy until fully made, pretty sturdy once they are. MDF Shelving is very thin but does the job as long as middle support bar is in place. Just hope they don't go mouldy like a few others have mentioned. Overall very happy with price paid and end result.

Purchased to store stuff during a renovation job as space was limited. A bit fiddly to assemble as they seem flimsy but once assembled the complete shelf is reasonably strong. May need a light tap in places occasionally with a rubber mallet to guide tabs in.Shelves supplied are just thin MDF, although suffice I personally would replace with thin plywood if intending for use in a detached shed or garage to the dampness in winter.

Easy to assemble, but would recommend you put them together with a friend. Functionality? they are stable, great storage space and hold way more weight on each shelf than I will ever need. They are stable enough, I think, to stand away from a wall, though mine are aligned along the wall. No shaking or bending or concerns they will break. Very sturdy.

These are really good for the price. Quite bendy thin metal but sturdy enough once assembled. Really quite impressed with them. Easy to assemble, I put them together on my own and it was a breeze. No tools required really although you will benefit from having a nylon/rubber small mallet. Failing that just use a piece of wood to knock the metal struts into the locating slots.

I ordered this and only one of the two units arrived, the other being returned to sender without explanation by the abomination that is Hermes.I needed two matching units, quickly, so went to Screwfix and bought two of their 5-Tier Galvanised Steel Rivet Shelving Unit 900 x 450 x 1800mm units. These were an absolute dream. Easy as peas to put together, with rivets and keyhole slots to put them inThey were strong, rigid, simple, and a similar price to the Songmics ones, if maybe just a smidge smaller.I then found a place to put the one Songmics unit, (having had a partial refund for the unit that was lost in the eternal fires of Hermes Hell) and went about building it. Good grief. What garbage in comparison to the Screwfix unit. They took ages to set up, the uprights kept bending under their own weight, the shelf supports were almost impossible to "slot" in (I had to use a screwdriver to open the slots wider to make sure the tongues went in ok), and once complete, the whole unit was wobbly, lightweight and flimsy. I've screwed it to the wall, but I don't see it lasting under much pressure. Compared to the Screwfix unit, it's just nowhere near as good.(It's also worth noting the Screwfix ones are currently on offer at 3 for £140)

Amazing! So easy to assemble! Transformed my garage space. Very easy to put together and extremely sturdy and strong.

I bought these shelves for my shed, but unfortunately, they didn't quite live up to my expectations. After a while, I noticed mould starting to form, which was a bit disappointing. Although the shelves are generally well-made and sturdy, the material doesn't seem to hold up well to moisture. If you're planning to use them in a similar environment, you might want to consider other options. Maybe look for something with better water resistance?Great though for indoor use.
