Ignore the extras
This is from 2007 and so JC is not as confident or relaxed as he is now - but it's still funny stuff. Apart from the extras, that is - would give those a miss. The sketch show (in extras) was a bit cringeworthy and I actually stopped watching them.The portion about him being the first comedian to appear in the online game "Second Life" (extras again) was very disappointing. Not his fault - the quality of his avatar and how it was reacting was just awful (but suppose it was 2006).If you have no other JC DVDs and are thinking of buying one then this might not be the one to start with. I found Laughing and Joking much better overall. If you like Jimmy Carr, you'll like this.
This is the second Jimmy Carr DVD that I've bought from Amazon, and I'm just beginning to suspect that you could write a pretty similar review for all of his DVD's: quite funny in places, only for the broad-minded, and bordering on the edge of being offensive. I quite like Carr, and I don't think he quite crosses the line - but I know some will disagree.The other DVD I have reviewed is the one with the yellow cover - can't remember the title just now - and I thought this one was slightly funnier.
