Essential food

Lucy eats it as long as I add meatballs or chicken or any other topping. The pickiest dog in the world will go all day without eating, so I have to make sure she is getting her nutrients. I settled on this brand because I have a neighbor who said her dog loved it. Can't complain too much.

Healthy, medium-value treats

Easy to keep in a treat pouch, no refrigeration required, quick for my dog to consume, but motivating enough for regular training. You may need higher-value treats in more challenging training situations, like Vital Essentials Minnows. But these work fine for us most of the time.

Perfect for pocket treats and mealtime

We feed a variety of raw, kibble and fresh foods to the dogs, and Vital Essentials is part of their diet. We train throughout the day and always have pocket treats on hand. These niblets make great treats to carry, whether in a pocket or training pouch, because they are hard and don’t crumble like other treats, and they’re also a great size. The dogs love them and know there may always be a treat in the magic pocket for random rewards throughout the day.

A good substitute when raw is not available.

Used this when I had a dog sitter, seemed to fill the gap while I was out of town. I did not want to have to switch to kibble from raw for the convenience of the dog sitter. This seemed to be a good option.

Great to use as treats!

Our large dog is fed a prey model raw diet. The freeze dried raw nibs are a great tool for training reward treats. They are a "high reward" treat to our pup which helps with his reactivity when we help him stay calm out and about.
