attractive and efficient
I was attracted by the idea of ceramic mineral coating. I was attracted by the fact that it is non toxic. So I put it to the test by buying a frying pan (24cm) and a smaller (16cm) pan, bith with lid.I always use olive oil to cook, so I did with the lamb I cooked and a chicken patty. I always heat a pan for 3 minutes, according to Jamie Oliver's advice to bring a pan to a good heat to be able to seize meat. This I did, then put a tablespoon of olive oil put the meat and diminished the heat to 2 (electric cooker). The advantage of the pan is that it does NOT stick, there's no wild smoke of burning olive oil. It's all very hot, but not burning. to prevent the smell from escaping, I put the lid on.Tightly fitted, and a little vent hole, excellent! After I cooked my meat and added courgettes and a curry sauce with a bit of water, I carried on cooking, always with the lid on. When cooked I simply slid the whole lot with a wooden spoon onto a plate. Perfect cooking, perfect finish! No burning, delicious taste. I filled the pan with water and rinsed it clean. I cleaned it with a bit of detergent, easy, no markings, the pan stays pristinely clean.I'm a man and cleanliness matters to me! To me this was a wonderful test of a perfect pan. High mark, highly recommended.

Good value product
I ordered this from Amazon, as it was £15 cheaper than advertised in the national press, although exactly the same product. It is smart looking, and apart from slightly shaky handle that will need tightening in time (they do mention this in the leaflet), it does what it says, is very non-stick, and even heat distribution and a good steam vent ensures cook cooking. I would have liked a slightly bigger pan, but I am quite happy with it.

I'm so glad I wasn't put off by the negative reviews
This pan is pure magic. I'm so glad I wasn't put off by the negative reviews. It is just heavy enough to be stable without being cumbersome to handle. The handle and the lid knob stay cool to touch. Most importantly, it is truly non-stick! If food dries up in it, a quick rinse with water dislodges it without any problem. No soaking and definitely no scrubbing (that would probably damage it). So far I've made stir fries, vegetable spaghetti, gyros, paella, pancakes, potato scones, scrambled eggs, omelettes and fried eggs and they all come out lovely. Tomato sauce and turmeric does not discolour it. I had no problems with the surface of the pan getting scratched and I did use frozen veg, salt and stock cubes. Frankly, after being used twice a day for four months, it still looks unused. After use, once it's cool, I clean it with the spongy side of a scourer, rinse and wipe dry. For the first month or so, I wiped it with some oil to protect the surface but then didn't bother anymore. The pan looks so nice that it's been proudly living on the stove ever since I got it. It’s in constant use so there’s no point in putting it back in the cupboard.

shame about handle
when it arrived the handle was very loose almost hanging off. After tightening it with screwdriver it was fine, but after just one use it became very loose again. It is very difficult using the pan, when you are aware it may come off while using it. The pan itself is good, but very unfortunate that the handle cannot be tightened and stay tightened.

Ecocook Pans
I have purchased this set in red and I am really really satisfied with them it is so easy to leave things on the stove and forget then there is the mess that needs to be cleaned with this set I love using them so do not leave them the non stick coating is Five XXXXX star no sticking at all and the colour is a really nice red so easy to clean just warm water with some dish soap they just wipe clean. I ask myself why did I wait so long to purchase. I have told all my friends about them so guess a lot more will be sold

looses its non-stick properies
At first it seem absolutely brilliant. Very light weight and the non-stick works well. Unfortunately after a short while it gets stained and loses its non-stick properties. The sauce pans are not so bad because they don't get as hot as frying pans but even they lose their non-stick properties eventually. I have thrown mine away and bought a stone lined pan from JML instead, which is much better. Well so far anyway. Time will tell as to how long it remains non-stick. It is very much heavier though.

Dissapointed! Food sticking in ceramic pan!!!
I bought this pan back in September. I have been in Europe travelling for 6 months and on return have used this pan only to find that after a few uses it started to become discoloured and food started to stick! When I say stick, I mean that it has become impossible to use! Food immediately sticks and burns! Even though it has always been oiled.I am a very particular person when it comes to using only plastic utensils on it and have only ever washed it by hand with a soft cloth.I bought three of these pans as I wanted a set!I am not satisfied that I have had my moneys worth out of the pan.I had expected the pan to last at least a year before it was out of its warranty!Amazon only allow returns within 30 days from purchase!I have also tried to contact the manufacturer with no success!!!!

Great to use
When I first saw it I was disappointed, it did look like a wok. Anyway used it and found it is brilliant. Little or no oil needed. the lid stops all splashing. How wonderful Not to have all the mess. Plus there is less smell in the house. Frying fish can leave a fishy smell in the house. The lid minimises that.It cleans really well. When it is cold, I fill the pan with cold water, and a dash of washing up liquid. Then leave it to stand. It cleans really well. The glass lid I am putting in the dishwasher. I am a bit concerned about the knob. But time will tell.Love it.
