Stops thieves!
I've had two electric scooters stolen despite being locked, so I thought I'd turn things up a notch by locking the brake. This lock is perfect for that because it's not nearly as easy as cutting through a regular chain or even U-lock, at least not without ruining the disc brake. What I didn't expect was for the alarm to be so effective! It's very loud and seems to let out an initial warning chirp if the scooter gets jostled. If it gets jostled again, it goes into full alarm mode. No, it won't stop determined thieves or organized bike/scooter theft rings, but I've gone some time now without another theft, and I would like to thank this lock for that. I imagine it must make casual thieves second guess whether they should waste their time considering the loud noise and not being able to make a quick getaway.By the way, in case you own a Gotrax GXL V2, that's the scooter I have and the lock does fit the disc brake. However, you might have to rotate the brake a bit by hand to find a hole for the lock to fit through. Not quite as easy as with a bike, but it's workable.

Absolutely a steal!
Amazing lock system for motorcycles!!I have a brand new dirt bike and I was nervous about someone stealing it as dirt bikes don't have keys so they are easy to get stolen. This is super easy to use and VERY loud and sensitive! I love it! And you can't beat $11 for what you get it's an absolutely a steal!I don't even have the orange handle thing on right now and it still works just as good.I will definitely buy more of these. The quality is like something that would be for a $30 disc lock. Now I will say like with any lock I'm sure it can be picked or broken but if a theft tries to tamper with it or even so much as touch it the sound will start going off and like I said it's loud!

Awesome investment
Product is easy to install and remove. It’s a good quality for the price. I use it on my scooter every night.

Sensitive, added layer of security
No lock or alarm will thwart the motivated thief. Period. If I could afford the Hiplok $300 D-lock, I would certainly buy that one. Even that lock is vulnerable to cutting attacks although it takes probably 10 minutes and several blades and has a coating that puts out a lot of toxic smoke. I use this alarm on an e-bike, along with a Kryptonite New York u-lock, and a cable through the wheels. It’s lightweight, sensitive, and fairly loud.If you must lock up your bike, use common sense. Don’t leave it overnight, park in a high- foot-traffic area, conduct your business quickly, don’t lock the bike to anything that can be easily cut through, and do layers of security. The idea is to make a thief decide there are easier targets than your expensive bicycle.

Secure as secure gets.
I originally bought several types of locks to guard my electric scooter when parking it, but have slowly cut back to just this little demon of protection. If they try to tamper with whatever it's clamped to it will go off long before they can remove anything, will keep blaring till it's unlocked and a headache inducing volume, & locking it onto the break pads means they would have to carry this in their arms to move anywhere. In all it's great because thieves are lazy and generally spooked by getting caught in the act, so once this thing starts going off they will likely realize they are now on a really short countdown before someone comes to investigate.Still advise using this in conjunction with a galvanized thick chain to anchor to a closed loop point, more effort to steal means more likely to be passed over. The world of theft much like insurance & investment is all about risk assessment. One gripe I have is how blind it feels trying to clamp it to a hole on the brake pads, but that does also mean thieves can't get to the bolts stem with anything thicker than paper either.
