Heard about these things from friends online and ordered as soon as I found this listing. Excellent materials and adhesive and pretty straightforward application. The markings are high-contrast and easy to read on pretty much any rod - I have them on a powder blue and black Penn rod and an all-black Daiwa and on both, they're easy to pick up and read.Accuracy is spot on, though you will want to take care not to stretch the material as you apply it to the rod.Speaking of installation, I appreciate that a couple of alcohol pads are included to prepare/clean the surface you're applying them to. I will also note that some additional work is recommended if you're installing these on multi-piece rods. It's worth taking the time to assemble the rod and use a pencil or pen to mark where the joint is on the male end. At that point, install on the butt of the rod, trimming off any excess and then install the remainder of the ruler on the next section.The die cutting is good, but on one of mine it didn't quite go through the sticker, so a little help in the form of an xacto knife was needed. Nothing to dock a star for, but worth noting.

I am notorious for taking more than I need to go fishing. I have been trying hard to scale down and not take as much. I also have been a catch and release fisherman but want to start keeping trout and panfish. All trout are regulated but there are also lakes in my state that have panfish regulations so having a ruler is important to avoid taking an illegal fish. I also never keep bass but it is nice to know how big they are.I have my regular rods as well as a set of shorter rods for my kayak. I like having shorter rods for that because they are easier to manage. I bought the two tape set and put one on a rod that I always take either on shore of on the kayak.I only need about 20 inches so I simply trimmed these. They were very easy to install. You do need a hair dryer or heat gun to make it stick correctly. The tape is very forgiving until you heat it and push it down so there is no stress of getting it right the 1st time or ruining it. It took me less than 15 minutes total for both rods and I am not a handyman by any stretch.This looks to be very accurate and was easy to put on. All I will have to do is hold up the fish to know it's size. Do keep in mind this will be hard to read over Amy graphics on your rod. I simply installed it on the side so I can see it. I won't need it for every fish but it will be very close for the legal/illegal measurement. I am conservative and will always look for the extra just to make sure but this allows a pretty reliable measurement that you will have with you all the time.The only unknown is longevity. I can't say if these will rub off with usage. If they do, I will come back and update the review. For now this is a 5 star item.

It looks and works great but is pretty overpriced for a 2 pack at $13.00

This was perfect for what I was looking for - adding a very skinny, transparent ruler to the side of my aquarium to allow for me to keep an eye on water levels during water changes. I like to track the % water change and having the measurement on the side lets me be more precise about how much was taken out and added in. Compact shipping, and tape fits perfectly along the edge of the aquarium to allow for easy to read measurement but imperceptible if you aren't looking at it.

**UPDATE ON BOTTOM*I have these on 4 rods now. Started with 2 and was very happy with the quality and look of them. Very easy to apply and after 20+ fishing trips during hot days and heavy rain they still look great and haven't started to peel or show any signs of coming off. Great product and easy to use!**UPDATE**I have been fishing nearly everyday for the past 4-6 months in every weather condition imaginable including 20deg windy days and near 100deg rainstorms. I dont baby my rods and these things have taken an absolute beating but still look FANTASTIC. I have a feeling that if these were put on a space shuttle windshield, they would survive re-entry. I recently purchased 2 more for new rods and will probably have these on every rod I ever buy. Seriously, if you want cool pictures with PROOF of that 25" Brown trout...just buy these and be done with it!

Went on fine. Sticking well after two months of every other day use.But the numbers need to be bolder, and a different color than the index marks.I feel dumb paying this much money for two stickers.Would buy again, but only if they improved the product.

Update: The one on the guardrail looks just like it did when I put it on there in 2023.I love this product. Allows me to be able to quickly measure my fish and get it back to the water. Not only didI put it on my rod but found it was more useful putting it on my net handle since I usually have the net I hand. Also put it on a guardrail where I fish about 6 months ago and it has held up very well to heavy rains and direct sun, looks like I just put it on. I would definitely recommend this product

These are great. They stick well to the rod. Just make sure to clean your rod with a microfiber rag and some alcohol and then let it dry. These are ideal to get measurements to ensure you follow regulations and not have to carry around extra weight from a tape measure. Shipping was a bit long though. Overall great value.
