Fridge died just a few months after the warranty expired - Samsung would do nothing
What a coincidence that the fridge was beyond repair just months after the warranty expired. Massive cracks in the carcass which could not be seen until the engineer took the back off revealed multiple cracks in the casing. Samsung customer service was worse than anything imaginable and would not even consider replacing it, leaving a customer in the lurch during a pandemic. The fridge is great to look at and while it was working, it was good. But these units are not built to last, are very clunky inside and cheaply made. A fridge should last at least 10 years. Samsung's response: "Well sometimes things go wrong but we cannot help as the unit is over 5 years old"....4 months over to be precise.

Don’t buy Samsung
Remember ice bucket challenge.. well Samsung certainly have their own ice box challenge. The first Samsung fridge we bought, was still under warranty when the ice box broke, after numerous call outs the fridge was eventually replaced, guess what the exact same problem has occurred on the replacement only now its just out of warranty so l am left with a very expensive fridge that cannot perform the basic task of making ice... no surprise that the Americans have a law suit against a Samsung for this issue.
