Saved Me Hundreds on Door Frame Repair!I can’t say enough good things about this BOSS-Rx rot repair kit. I noticed some rot starting at the bottom of my door jamb and thought I’d have to replace the whole frame—until I found this! This kit made the fix super simple. Everything fit perfectly, and the instructions were easy to follow (even for someone who isn’t super handy like me).It’s sturdy, clean-looking, and once painted, you’d never know there was ever any damage. I really loved that it saved me from hiring someone or doing a full replacement. Took care of just the part that needed fixing—quick, affordable, and looks great.Highly recommend if you're dealing with rot or a weak/old door frame!

Excellent product! Retired general contractor so have had experience repairing door jambs, with wood. This product made it ALOT easier, and should last a lifetime. Be aware, and ready, if water has penetrated deeper than the jamb you may have additional repairs to do before finishing up your install. I would cut the jambs off lower than suggested, remove the threshold, and then use the repair pieces to mark you jambs for correct fit. It may be hard to measure to the original subfloor depth with the threshold in place.

though expensive, fits perfectly to fix the lowest rotten part of an exterior doorframe. It is shorter than one might assume, since the length measurement includes that front skinny taller piece, the bulk of this is fairly short.It was not hard all that hard to install, I used an oscillating multi-tool to cut the old piece out and then attached it., I replaced the rest of the exterior trim with a kit from Lowes that was also PVC so I won't have to deal with that wood rot again.

Great product! So much better than replacing the whole door frame. It takes some skills and tools to do the job. Apparently a few reviewers had neither. I suggest reading the Installation Instructions on the product page before you buy it. I highly recommend it.

I didn't want to replace the rotted wood of my door frame with more wood, so I got this PVC frame repair kit. It is a bit expensive, but I think it is totally worth it. The kit is well made and easy to install. Would buy again if I ever needed to repair a rotted lower door frame. BTW: The actual part has groves on the back, like many standard door frames. It isn't on the exterior where you see it.

Had a terrible time with it.. Ended up junking it and will most likely end of buying a new door frame.. Pain in the butt product

This product is a lifesaver. I live in the Northeast and have doors that are exposed to a lot of moisture. This kit makes the job fast, easy, and permanent. Since it is made of PVC, I won’t have to do it again. You will need an oscillating tool to cut the old jamb and general/multi-purpose epoxy putty. I am planning on repairing another door with this kit. Excellent product, highly recommend.

Very good product! It fits perfectly. The youtube instructions made it very easy to install. I filled the gaps and painted it on top. It was like new! I only wish they offered longer option for door frame that is rotten more than 10”. I think that could be the only bad thing.
