Battery appers to charge in charger but flat when in player.
I purchased these batteries for my old Sony MZ-R55 minidisc player. Would not charge in device so put in my multi charger over night. Appeared to fully charge. I tried them both in my player and both of them reported flat battery. I would not take the risk if I was you look elsewhere.

Battery Works
I have an old Sony MD player and decided to put it back in service. The batteries arrived in a timely manner and even more importantly, they took a charge from the player. Very happy camper.

Works well when new
Lots of capacity when new. Positive terminal does not protrude as much as the Sony originals, so may not make proper contact in Some CD walkmans. Also the ones that I purchased 1.5 years ago seems to have loss capacity and build up resistance even when hardly used.

both batteries worse than the 18 year old battery that shipped with my MiniDisc player.
Neither battery could manage to last more than a couple minutes before my MiniDisc player started reporting low battery. Returned for a refund. So the customer service is good.
