No my dog won't let me put it on him so I'll never know if it really works

My landlord loves the fire alarm, he tests it out minimum once a month. He tests it out so often, if there is ever a real fire, we will just chill in our apartment as the building burns because the sound no longer indicates an emergency. Unless you are my dogMy poor dogs suffer tremendously when these alarms go off. I work from home and I don't have enough vacation days to escape from the amount of fire alarms my landlord wants to test.It would be too reasonable to be given a small window of time when the alarm will go off so that we could leave and not be tortured, but as we are given 8 hour windows I have no choice but to carry on with my work day at home with my dogs on the days when the alarm is scheduled to randomly torture usBecause of my landlords fire alarm hobby, one of my dogs has started to literally go deaf. She cannot hear me anymore! Apparently I cannot sue my landlord for this.I tried the happy hoodie in a desperate attempt to protect their ears during the monthly sometimes 3 times a month scheduled torture. It seemed to be effective?Over the long weekend, we were woken at 6 am to my smoke detector telling me low battery in English, French and a torture-chirp every 1-2 minutes. As I could not uninstall or change the battery myself due to being very short and also not an electrician, I had to call the emergency number. They told me to wait at my home and said the emergency maintenance guy was on the way.My dogs were freaking out but I got their happy hoodies on and put them in the closet with the doors shut and I could see them relaxing as it must have softened the sound. We waited for 7 hours for the maintenance guy and we didn't leave because every time I called back to ask for an update they said soon and stay there and wait for him. Of course thus ruined all my plans for the day but it was nice to see that my dogs and I could relax in the closet for 7 hours thanks to the happy hoodie

Dog just instantly wants to lay down and is relaxed despite having something on his head. I fold it up on the end because it's a little long for his head and a little snug and bunches at his neck but it works just the same. Worth it.

So I have ordered a high velocity dryer so it makes a pitch different than a normal hair dryer. Why is that important? My Eski would run from me more with the better dryer, but it was necessary with his long coat. Then I got this. After trying it onto him he was welcoming of it. I showed him the volume with and without, and he made it clear he wanted the hoodie. Normally he would try to cower, but with it on he stood there like a good boy. Well worth the purchase.Just make sure you measure to not crush their ears! He was on the low end of the small, but I felt his ears still had room to not feel pinched.

It's basically a slightly wider sweat band. My 5lb kitty has an ear infection and the smallest size works perfectly to hold her ears down so she can't scratch at them and flap them around. Not too tight. The biggest con is she's able to remove it pretty easily, so we've just been putting on her right after putting in her ear drops, so she can't shake them out. By the time she gets it off, they've soaked in to her ears. So it's serving its purpose for us.My major gripe, though, is the packaging. What happened? Did someone buy it, lose the original packaging, and just return it in a sandwich bag? And then Amazon just sent it out again exactly as is? I don't know what to think. Made me a bit uncomfortable - I have no idea where this thing has been or what has used it already. But we needed it immediately, so we had to keep it.Overall, pretty decent product.
