Forceful Spray
I received a sample of this from Belk and really loved it, so when my sample was used up, I ordered this immediately. The scent is great- not too strong but lasts all day. HOWEVER, this comes out in a heavy stream and not a spritz like other bottles of perfume. It is close to impossible to not get too much product. I have to spray it on a piece of paper and then blot on my skin- I don’t use it as often because of this.

More fruity than floral
I have loved DKNY’s take on apple scents, so when I saw Be Delicious Orchard St. on Amazon on a day when none of my fall scents seemed perfect, I decided to take a chance on a new to me scent, hoping that this would slot its way into my smells of fall. While the DKNY scents are not inexpensive, I've always found that a little goes a long way. The scents seem to cling to the skin and really hang on. That wisp of green apple in the classic Be Delicious has always appealed to the fruity meets slightly spicy and lightly floral part of me.I've followed the various blends of “Be Delicious” to floral, spicy, aquatic, and woody, and have largely enjoyed most of the varieties. They always evoke a playful sophistication to me, bringing to mind a city woman who isn't yet jaded, who is in touch with the wonder in the everyday around her.Be Delicious Orchard St. epitomizes the Lower East Side with a blend of Pink Lady Apples, Pomegranate, Black Raspberry, Pink Grapefruit, Jasmine, Orris, Cedarwood, and Leather. If that sounds a little heady and frantic to you, you're not alone. I wondered how the delicate Jasmine, and stately Pink Lady Apples, the tangy but sweet Black Raspberry and Pomegranate, the sharp citrus of the Pink Grapefruit, would stand out against the depth and complexity of the Leather and Cedarwood. And how did the Orris fit in?My review is based purely on my body chemistry. Scents can project completely differently on people depending on their unique body chemistry. Please take my review as one person's guide, and don't hesitate to try a sample of your own. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa.Upon first spray, Be Delicious Orchard St. centers around the three tangiest fruits. The apple is uplifted by the zing of pink grapefruit, with pomegranate giving a sweet-sour note that brings it all together. Something rich and sweet and sticky teases the background of these, most probably the Black Raspberry. I can clearly discern the scent note of jasmine floating over the fruit, with something vaguely spring floral, which must be the orris. There's a depth that could be Cedarwood, but it is very subtle on me, and the only possible hint of Leather I might perceive would be a very light flirtation, more of a suede than anything. After about five minutes on me, the blend settles in to something more deeply floral and less fruity, but with a pleasant astringent note, maybe the Pomegranate or Pink Grapefruit. It quickly becomes less sweet and more floral, taking the scent from the richness of fall to the lightness of spring. Neither the Leather nor Cedarwood make themselves known from here onward, which gives the blend a bit less complexity. Nobody around me could smell it on me after five minutes, which was disappointing. After three hours, the scent faded so that I was barely aware of it, and there was no trace of it on my skin. I had the vaguest scent that ry I'd worn something floral or powdery, with none of the gourmand notes I'd hoped for. Rather than evoking playfulness wrapped in a layer of sophistication, Be Delicious ended the day on a floral note for me before fading completely.3.75 stars for my body chemistry.PositivesInteresting blend of notes.Very strong scent upon spraying.NegativesFloral notes overtake gourmand.Doesn't evoke anything “orchard” like.Less than ideal staying power.True to size?Yes, what you see is what you get.Good for:People who want to try a Be Delicious but are worried about the gourmand scents.Adventurous perfume fans who enjoy the interplay of heavier florals and springy fruits. Not good for:Those expecting the cohesive complexity of other “Be Delicious” scents. Those looking for a fall forward scent.Would I get again: No. There are other DKNY Be Delicious scents that work better on me.
