Works great, easy to set up, but a couple complaints.
Easy to set up. I just got them and haven't used them much though so far they fit very well. Sound quality is better than I expected. It connected to alexa easily, just follow the directions. For what i'm planning to use them for, the price was not too bad. But I do have a couple complaints. I got the blue light blocking model which is ok, because I wear contacts. I do wish they came with reading glass lenses as an option, or possible replaceable lens packages since I also need them. Can't wear them working on my computer, nor looking at my phone. Driving or normal everyday usage like walks, cutting grass etc.. they'll be fine. My second complaint is the charging stand. It is very particular as to how you put the glasses on it. If you don't do it just right, it won't charge. There has to be a better charger for it! I mean it literally took me 5 minutes to get it to work. Now I know, it probably won't take as long, but it should be very intuitive from the start. FYI: left ear horn in first laying on the base, then put the right in the stand and watch for the orange light to lite up. This was the only way I got it charging. Other than that, if sized properly, they feel great, and are very light weight.

Miss my Gen 2 Frames
To preface- I had the Gen 2 Frames for years and love them and would continue to use them if they didn't break. I purchased them online and even added the prescription lens via bommerang the partnered vendor back then and had excellent experience using that pair daily until now.Now for the Gen 3:Pros: Battery life, and sound quality has improved.Everything else is awful- the touch gestures were very convenient in the 2nd generation subtle way to pause or play which is now just the physical buttons on the arms . Even the fact that they moved the volume buttons to the other side of the frames is inconvenient where as all the buttons and gesture were centralized to the right arm in gen 2. The build quality seems about to be slightly better but for the life of me I can not get it to fit comfortably on my face even after watching the videos on adjusting the frames. The charging dock? God awful. Trying to balance the frames onto a charging dock that is proprietary and doesn't even work well is just stupid. Having the option to have a spare charging wire at work and home for my gen 2 was convenient and reasonably cheap. Everything about charging these frames is just difficult. While this is not about the frames itself but the company that amazon partnered with to have prescription lens added online - Lensabl - I will give them credit for a free of charge redo on my lens as the first time the frames were fitted with the prescription lens there was no AR coating added so my lens came reflecting every single bit of light off the lens causing it to be impossible to wear. Though even with the redo while decent - it's still pretty spotty and I have to say my cheap 35$ frames and lens off eyebuydirect feels better to see through.Between the sending the frames in and having to send it back for a redo- It took over a month to get my purchase to use . Purchased on 12/30/24 and after all the shipping back and forth received it finally 2/3/25 for mostly a disappointment-

Perfect for Quiet Video Watching Without Bugging My Wife
I didn’t expect to like these as much as I do, but the new Echo Frames have become one of my favorite gadgets. I mostly use them for watching videos while sitting next to my wife, and they’re perfect for that. The audio is crisp and clear without being loud or leaking out. She doesn’t even notice I’m listening most of the time. The fit is comfortable enough to wear for hours, and the open-ear design means I can still hear her if she starts talking to me (which keeps the peace). Battery life easily lasts through my evening YouTube or Netflix sessions. And pairing with my phone was a breeze. If you like watching videos or listening to music or podcasts without blocking out the world, or bothering the person next to you, these are 100% worth it.

3.5 STARS - Would Recommend to Certain People
I would rate these 3.5 stars if I could. I have three major issues with them that each contributed to knocking down half a star. I do have good things to say about these after the issues.Issue#1 - I purchased these to wear everyday with prescription lenses. The sales description claims "Smart glasses with Alexa are designed to be easily fitted with prescription lenses." I had my eye appointment and was abruptly told that they would not put lenses in nor order them for me. I called around and couldn't find an eye doctor within 50 miles that would order lenses for me. I live in a small town in Iowa so I imagine this wouldn't have been a problem if I lived in a big city. But it was frustrating. I ended up ordering lenses from lensesrx.com and putting them in myself. It wasn't difficult but it would have been nicer to have an eye doctor do it.Issue#2 - The charging. I had read plenty of complaints about the charging on these before I ordered but I just figured it was people who couldn't read instructions. I don't think its as difficult as some people claim it to be, but I do agree it could be a lot easier. It took me a solid 15 minutes the first time to get them to charge. After you figure out how to fold the temples right and sit them in the charger, its not too difficult but it is annoying. The first day I wore them they charged fine. I placed them in the charger that night and the light showed that they were charging. When I woke up, they were at 5% battery. I can only imagine I must have bumped it in the night. Since then, I have moved them to another room and not had an issue since.Issue #3 - I don't know if this goes hand in hand with the charging, but the day after they hadn't charged, they would not connect to my phone. I fully charged them and they would not connect no matter what I did. I tried resetting them and it didn't work. I ended up having to delete the Alexa app and forgetting them on my phone's Bluetooth and restarting the whole process. They connected after that and I haven't had an issue with them since. It has been about a week of daily wearing since with no issue.Overall, I do enjoy these glasses. The microphone and speakers are FANTASTIC. I have called 10+ people in the two weeks of wearing these and they all say that I sound better on these than on my Blue Parrot headset. I have taken my dog for a walk while talking on these and can hear people crystal clear, even in a breeze. I would buy another pair of these just for the phone calling capabilities, that's how impressed I am with them.I also really enjoy the notification announcements but I wish I had more control over what it did and did not announce. Reading a text is quite handy, but it reading an entire email, even the emojis is quite annoying. I would prefer it just read the title of the email instead.I haven't used the voice action much but it does work and I am pleased with it so far. However, if I did not need prescription lenses, I would not be as in love with them. They are quite bulky and honestly not all that good looking. I don't care too much about what I look like, but I do admit that they don't look as good on me as my old regular pair. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I can't knock them too much for that. With that said, I would recommend these to people who need to wear glasses everyday and enjoy the benefits of a headset, but don't enjoying wearing the headset. If you just want a pair of smart glasses as sunglasses or reading glasses, I would not recommend.
