A great, beautiful book nook. Requires patience and a delicate hand.
This is my first set from this company. I really loved this design as it stood out from other bookstore/library sets. I have some exp. building (simple) gunpla and Rolife DIYs. IMO this set was not that difficult as some comments mentioned. I finished this less than a week pulling all nighters total of 20~ hours (last min. birthday present) and had a great time putting everything together. If you can read and TAKE YOUR TIME READING the instructions then you should be fine. Some piece snap together easier than others, otherwise you can 1) hammer the tabs or 2) sand down the tabs and then glue for a confident fit. The books were the most tedious to assemble, but are honestly the best parts to complete the look of your mini library. No missing pieces, in fact I had some extras. Lighting is beautiful and worth setting up! Just make sure you maneuver the right lines. Some of the side panels may not fit perfectly but you can sand them down or glue them together if you’re confident that everything inside will stay in place. My “roof” doesn’t fit in all the way but it’s not a big deal to me. Overall build is pretty sturdy.Don’t push out all the pieces at once as you WILL lose track of which is which. Use the push tool for smaller/thinner pieces, don’t harshly force them out. The set provides glue, a mini file, tweezers, and a mini metal hammer. I used them all.— When you get to the stairs, I highly suggest you glue the top steps together—and bottom ones, so you can move the whole thing easier. Don’t forget the metal rod!— Tap down the wires, you don’t have to pin them with the wooden pieces.— If you have left over books and paintings, feel free to customize the placement! This can be a fun family project but maybe not for younger kids as this set does require a delicate touch for some steps.⚠️Work in a room with adequate ventilation if you’re using the provided glue!⚠️ The wood does have a slight smell if you’re sensitive about that.

I honestly couldn't believe what I was looking at
I have done well over 100 3D wooden mechanical models/kits with another 30+ left to do. I also have well over 60 Book Nook kits and finished close to or a little over 30 of them already. Since starting to do the Book Nooks, I have realized many important things. But 1 of them stands out as The most important to me ... MiniCity is by far the best company for these kits out there. They not only think up some incredibly crazy and beautiful designs that take your breath away, they also take great care in making their products. They do that by using really good materials and are strictly firm on the fact their customers receive the utmost positive experience and make sure to give any assistance possible. I own all but 1 of their kits and their "Beyond Library" is an unbelievable design and kit. Truly amazing!! (I will try to get my pics up very soon.) When I received it and opened it up, I honestly could not believe what I was looking at! The thought and care that was put into this kit is incredible. The material used is updated and crazy good. This update helps you see what part number goes to what without needing a foglight and magnifying glass as most do! I honestly just cannot say enough good about it. Now, there might be a hiccup that you come across with any kit you do if you are a perfectionist. Unfortunately, because of the job(s), I had to do for a couple of people, I've become one and it is not an easy thing to "grow out of". So, with that said, I needed to step back and think ... "Would you Really see that when you look into the book nook after it is completed?" If the answer was "No". I let it go. Easy to do. However, if you do come across an issue, I strongly suggest you reach out to MiniCity before you do anything else. They WILL make it right. They truly do care.I will give you a warning here:If you are new to doing Book Nooks, do Not start with this one! It has many more fragile pieces than others and that mainly has to do with the amazing plastic step guards they created for this kit, as well as other items. And like most Book Nooks, you MUST take your time and PAY attention!! If you are someone who does not have much patience, You WILL make a mistake and/or break something. If you are not able to concentrate on what you're doing, you WILL make a mistake and/or break something. If you are someone who just likes instant gratification? Get a 30-piece puzzle and call it a day. HAHA. Almost every book nook I've come across, and I have well over 60 of the book nook kits alone, and this one in particular, demands your time, patience, and care. Otherwise, you really shouldn't try to do them. Unless, of course, you don't mind throwing away your hard-earned money. If that is the case, have at it!!Overall, if you are looking for something truly amazing to work on and to look at afterward, I Strongly and Highly recommend this kit! You'll not only be glad, but anyone you show it to will also be amazed.Pics coming soon.

Highly Recommend
I have done other miniature projects before this particular book nook, this looked different to me, so I decided I wanted to try it. I am very pleased! The pieces were all there, with a few extra pieces left over. The instruction manual is very well written and super simple to follow! It has places of zoom in so you can really see how it should fit. It also shows before and after so you can double check yourself. This one is much prettier in person than the photos show! It’s a really neat addition to my bookshelf!! The lighting mechanics for it were really simple to follow as well, I didn’t need anyone to help me with that. Once you assemble the bottom and sides, it doesn’t shut completely until you add the top pieces, but I think that goes without saying. Once you add the top, it is extremely sturdy and fits snugly together. It comes with glue, tweezers, and all you need. My kit wasn’t missing anything. The only suggestion I would make is consider having an exacto knife handy as the clear plastic pieces (for the stairs) are in their casing a little more snug. It wasn’t as easy to punch out like the wooden pieces. But, I just used an exacto knife to cut the pieces out as needed. It is simple, it is fun, it is really pretty from start to finish! I highly recommend this product!!
