I put my Christmas lights with them on both shingle roof and metal roof. They are still holding great. They have not rusted and they are almost invisible. The light rope still is up even after heavy storms.

Worked out great for hanging string lights, and i left them in place following the season since they're not noticeable, especially the black color.

I had these on my roof since last Christmas season, and they still worked great. There are a lot of them for pretty cheap, but I was just being lazy and left them up. I could move them around still and not a single one fell off. Only complaint is that the hook is a little too open, which can cause the lights to fall off if it is windy.

They work well, however, they rust fairly quick. Should have got stainless!

I’m so glad I bought these. So much that I had to take a moment to write a review. They were so easy to use… the lights did not fall once while putting them up around my roof. My roof doesn’t have much of a ledge to attach hooks to and hanging my Christmas lights is usually a tedious task. Not this time! Now to see how well they hang on with wind and rain.
