Q: What does "fluffies" mean?

I believe it suggests that the sock is thick (thicker than most) and somewhat fluffy (soft). It is merely one of their lines of socks.

I'm not sure what your concern is, but I've been buying Gold Toe socks in the highest cotton content for many years and still like them. They use different names for different versions of their socks, but I only like the "fluffies" style of all the ones I've tried. I haven't found any other brand that suits me. I like the thickness of these and the way the upper portion conforms to the leg without being too tight. Gold Toe makes other socks with mostly cotton content including the "cotton crew athletic socks" which I don't like because they're too thick. Others are too long or too tight. I'm not sure what was better about the "former manufacturer", but I'm staying with this version of cotton fluffies for now.

Mine says 81% cotton, 18% nylon and 1% spandex.

Q: Where are they made? Just states imported.
