What are the directions?

Twist end off tube, squirt contents of the tube inside of the cheek. Only use for a responsive person that can protect their airway. If you are unsure if a person is hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic and they are still able to protect their airway go ahead and use it. If they are hyperglycemic it will not significantly raise their blood glucose. If you use it and they start to show signs of recovery get them a snack of complex carbohydrate. The simple sugar in the jell will only last 10-15 minutes and a person will get hypoglycemic again. Good thing to feed them is a peanut butter sandwich or grahm crackers. Both contain both simple and complex carbohydrates.

Can this product be kept in my car for emergencies in all weather?

I'll hazard a guess based upon my own experience, but you might write the manufacturer for a more concise answer. The tubes and packaging read to "Store at room temperature," whatever THAT is! I keep it in the center console in summer and winter, but change it out for a fresh tube every year or two thinking that it may change over time due to temperature extremes. I don't know whether the gel freezes in Winter or the tube burst in Summer as I don't live in such weather extremes. Sorry I could not give you a definitive answer.

May I have an expiry date ?

Glucose is considered a simple sugar. Sugar essentially never expires. It can of course be exposed to elements and no longer be "good". This product comes in a sealed container. It shows no expiration date. Perhaps after about 5 years, if you've not used it, you might want to replace. But what I can share also is that our local EMTs recommended above all other products, to have on hand in case my husband's sugar level dropped to an almost comatose state.

What is the shelf life?

The tube has no expiration date. Glucose is essentially a sugar. Sugar does not expire. If the tube is not damaged I would guess it's good for at least 5 years.
