Because it does not say organic I would say there is a possibility that it has GMOs. All organic food cannot be a GMO however the USDA allows up to 50% of NON- Organic foods to go into processessed foods that are labeled organic. So you must look for a label that says 100% organic if you want all non GMO foods in your diet and still use a mix. I hope this helps.

From the time I purchased the product and the day stamped on it being March 2016, I would have to guess it is probably 18 months to 2 years

I would not recommend using our Gluten Free Brownie Mix in the bread machine; only our bread mixes are appropriate for the bread machine.
