Item worked for 2 weeks. It took a few hours for a full charge. It held charge for about 20 mins before it started blinking orange. I would not recommend.

After charging it for a while -a few hours, the charge dies out after using it half way to my head. This is ideal to touch ups, if you’re planning to use it an extended about of time and if you can keep it plugged in, it works great. It gives you volume while it straightens your hair

This thing is great! Compact and portable. Al t of people say it doesn't work after charging. THAT IS BECAUSE THEY PUT THE PLUG IN THE CHARGING PORT THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLACED WHEN TRAVELING SO THE POWER BUTTON DOES NOT ACCIDENTALLY GET DEPRESSED AND IT TURN ON. LEAVE THE PLUG OUT TO USE.

SHORT LIFE SPAN, ONE PLUS IT DOES GET HOT..AND WILL RELAX HAIR ENOUGH. IT' S NOT BAD, BUT IT DOES HAVE A SHORT SPAN OF HEATING TIME.

I am shocked. I used the product maybe once every other month, sometimes every month. In other words, not regularly at all. Really liked it Bought it in May 2024.Now September 20204. Stopped charging completely and will not heat at all. Of course, out of support or warranty . NEVER AGAIN!!!! VERY Disgusted!

I have eczema & rosacea and I haven’t done my hair in 10yrs+ because if I think about even doing this, it takes me 2hrs or so to cool down. And this all flares up everything. Living in south Texas (Harlingen) doesn’t help either. However, this straightener I can do it in the comfort of my bed while laying in front of the fan to stay cool and not overheat. I love that it’s safe to put down. Love it! I straightened my hair and hadn’t seen myself like that in a long time.

UPDATE: TYMO did reach out to me about my below response. They apologized and promised the new Upgraded Version (Porta Pro) will be better, due to the upgrade.I Bumped my first review from 1 star to 2 star. The reason for this is because the power issue is fixed in the upgraded one BUT the heating is still bad. I had to brush thru a small strand of hair a million times before it got straight. I think the heating element is worse in the upgraded version than this one. My hair is to my shoulders and it took me 25 minutes whereas the plug in comb version takes less than 10 minutes. I'll stand by my response on the plug which is WAY BETTER!FIRST REVIEW: You have to charge it before every use, even if you charged it after using it last. Next day comes and you try to use it, it'll be dead so you have to charge it again before use.For thick hair, You have to use super super small sections which takes FOREVER. Now if you used the plug in version then you don't have to worry about sectioning or the heat, you'll be done under 10 minutes!
