South Shore Cosmos Captain Bed with 4 Drawers, Full 54-inch, Black Onyx

Q: Why aren't the top drawers flush with the bed. The bottom drawers are good what can I do to make the top drawers flush with the bed?

I had this same problem, which didn't bother me until my clever cats started wedging the top drawers open & crawling inside the drawers & bed. I realigned the rails- the pilot holes didn't match up exactly so I just left one screw out. I put the drawers back in & moved the heavier items to the bottom drawers, & installed some inexpensive baby protectors on each drawer to keep them secured shut. They align perfectly now, are sturdy & keep the kitties out.

Q: What type of wood is it?

It's actually particle board not solid wood.
