Tested in a reputable and certified European testing facility You'll see lots of abbreviations and numbers when it comes to how good Ear Defenders are, I'm afraid we're no different. The Edz Kidz Baby Ear Defenders have a Standard Noise Reduction (SNR) of 21.3dB. That means that between 63 and 8000 (Hz) when tested in the Lab the Edz Kidz Baby Ear Defenders reduced sounds on average by 21.3dB. Like all Ear Defenders they are better at reducing High pitched noises like babies screams and F1 cars. Reducing them by 36.4dB. Whilst Low pitched noises like thunder and big dog barks are reduced by 14.5dB. This, in part, is due to the fact that as well as hearing Low frequency sounds, we also "Feel" them.
