Q: Why does this stuff rub off so easily?It never seems to dry

Well, the second buffing step is important for sort of 'burnishing' it into the surface, as it rubs the wax into the surface just like an old fashioned shoe-shine man used to do with polish on leather shoes but the way it takes depends on the surface. I find it doesn't take to old brass; just wipes right off. But a smooth piece of wood it will adhere to. It's about the porosity of the surface and buffing it in well. Remember a little goes a long way. Try not to waste it by slathering so much on that the surface can't absorb that amount. Do it in lighter layers and build up your surface. You might want to try a newer product by DecoArt called Metallic Lustre. It comes in a flat plastic jar. So far not the color array of RnB but kind-of neat. It is a wax metallic finish product. The maker advises you to seal with varnish after buffing it in. Google it and see what you think. I hope i've helped you a little bit. It's hard to trouble-shoot when I don't know what you are putting the RnB on. pam

Q: This looks awesome! Has anyone used it over chalf painted wood?

Our buyer who is a decorative painter says it should work. The Rub N Buff will work differently depending upon whether you have any type of finish on top of your chalk paint. We suggest that you experiment on a scrap of painted wood first and start using the Rub N Buff sparingly.

Q: If rubbed on glass is this waterproof? Ie; can be washex or run thru dish washer w/o coming off?

I work at a store that engraves glass and this is what we use to add color to the etching. I am buying some for my personal collection. We always suggest customers hand wash only. Although I'm sure some have used our products in the dish washer...I haven't had any complaints or returns yet about the paint wearing off or pealing after excessive washing. hope that helps
