Beautiful mini tank!
This was my starter tank and have since upgraded to a 20-gallon tank. This little kit is great! Especially if you have a couple of little fish or a beta fish. There is no filter so I wouldn't keep more than a couple fish in it as they bio-load will be enough to make the tank get dirty very quickly. It's really good for a desktop tank or kitchen counter tank. It really spruces up the room. The tank itself is plastic, not acrylic, so it can scratch easy when using certain tools to clean it. The plastic does seem durable as my tank has been bumped and hit by tools when cleaning and I have yet to see a crack. I now use it as a spare tank to keep my bottom feeders in while I am vacuuming the gravel in my larger tank. The light that comes with it is nice and bright. You can customize the decorations to make it your own. I definitely recommend this as a starter tank.

A good, inexpensive setup
We got this tank for the triops we suddenly became owners of. It seemed cruel to leave them in the tiny cup they were hatched in, but we didn't want to spend a lot of money to house a pair of critters with a lifespan of 60 days at most. So we took a chance on this inexpensive tank.It was easy to set up. We used about 1 lb of gravel (the instructions recommend a minimum of 1 lb of gravel for the filter to operate properly), topped with 1/2 pound of aquarium sand. (The triops may have been happier if we'd used a full pound of sand on top, as the 1/2 pound layer doesn't really give them a lot of digging depth. But I digress.)The filter was a bit confusing to me. You're supposed to insert the airline hose into the air stone, but there didn't appear to be any way to do that. I don't have experience with aquariums, but I'm not stupid and there really didn't seem to be a way to follow the instructions on this. The hole in the stone was barely a pinprick, so I spent a fair amount of time with a Philips head screwdriver widening the hole enough for me to smush the airline hose into it fairly securely -- and hoping I wasn't doing the wrong thing. Once that was done and I had seated the stone into the bubbler tube and finished setting up the rest of the tank, everything worked fine. That part has been operating for about a week now with no problems. The filter pump sits outside the tank and as long as it's not touching anything (besides whatever it's sitting on), it's totally silent. The bubbler of course makes noise, but it's just a burbling sound that's pretty relaxing. The light bulb flickered a bit when I turned it on this morning, so I need to check that out later to see what may be causing the problem. The only thing that makes no sense, is that this is supposed to be a corner tank. Which means it should fit into a corner. However, the longer side is the one with all the cords attached and it needs to face to the back, while the corner part faces front, so it can't actually be snugged into a corner. It also has the comical effect of giving you double vision when the critters swim close to the where the two sides meet up front, especially if you are also standing directly in front of it. My son got confused when it looked like he had twice as many triops all of a sudden.Overall, this is the perfect solution for us to maintain the triops. They seem healthy and happy (to the extent that you can tell if something like that is happy). Plus, I read online that after these triops move on to the great puddle in the sky, you can scoop the water out of the tank and allow the gravel/sand to dry out in place (with any eggs that were presumably left behind) then rehydrate for another generation of triops. If that works, then this tank will really have been worth the $15 or so dollars we spent on it!

Excelente producto
Me pareció un excelente producto y la verdad a un super precio. Lo único que pienso estaría mejor es que indicaran que viene un filtro diferente al del video pero en general todo bien, en especial el vendedor, una entrega muy rápida.
