Bought for elderly mother with limited mobility. The larger bow makes it easier and more comfortable for her to manipulate the scissors. They are sturdy and a little bit longer than a previous pair - again useful with not having to bend down so far. Blades meet crisply and cut ordinary nails well - though they not so good on thicker nails. Good value.

Recent surgery has resulted in me not being able to get my socks on, let alone cut my toe nails. These scissors have effectively extended my reach. The angled cutting part enables me to get the lower cutting edge safely under the nail - even my little toe. The product is solidly made so no flexing once in position to make the cut. The lower blade has a serrated/rough edge which catches the nail and prevents any chance of slipping. The cut is easily made as the extended handles increase leverage. They are particularly good with my "thicker" nails and repeated shallow cuts create a sort of filing effect. Better than my pliers and loads better than the conventional nail clips. Top marks.

Received the scissors in July I have arthritis in my hip thought these would be a great option so disappointed they have very sharp points ended up cutting my toes did keep trying could not use them without cutting or stabbing me toes have now given up . I gave 2 stars only for the great length of them .

Arthritis prevented me reaching the nails for several years. Used to soak feet in bath and then rip nails off. Paid a local podiatrist £23 when some nails resisted my efforts. Since hip operations unable to reach feet. So soaked them well while sitting on bath seat. Clean feet but nails doubling in length.Then bought the clippers. Stainless steel and serrated edge seemed perfect. Soaked the feet till nails soft. Then left the bathroom. Reached down with one arm. Placed the clippers ( serration meant they stayed in place), reached down with one arm, closed my eyes in case I cut my toes, and clipped. Little bits of softened nails flying off in all directions. I nearly cut my big toe and learned to to be gentler. Daughter pleased as she offered to cut nails but really squeamish and hated feet!

Found these scissors difficult to use and did not cut my nails. Perhaps it depends on the techniqueyou are using to find them useful but would not buy again
