Research has shown that melanocytes (cells that produce the pigment, melanin) become hyperactive when exposed to high levels of UV rays.  As excessive exposure can cause dark uneven patches on the skin, we formulated our tinted BlockOut DST with an SPF of 50 to block both harmful UVA and UVB rays. Directions apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure reapply: after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating; immediately after towel drying; at least every 2 hours Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin disease and early skin aging.
