This 2nd collection of poetry by Alison Malee is so lovely! I especially adore “Wanting”This book highlights her longer pieces of poetry & explores themes universal in nature to all human experience....So many of her words deeply resonated with me! As she shares “the world as I have come to know it”, she writes of being courageous in the pursuit of what makes a life beautiful & meaningful ~ bridge building, forgiveness & always love, and all the paths she has taken on her journey to understanding these truths! Alison Malee’s writing deeply touches my soul with her beautiful imagery and encouragement to be brave in creating beauty in the world as she has done! Also really enjoyed “playing cards” and so many more! You’ll want this beautiful book of poetry on your shelf to read and re-read!

If I could give more stars I would, this book is stellar! I read a lot of poetry books from current writers; this one is advanced writing like nothing I have read. Alison is a master, with an emotional depth that is breathtaking. She is creating new forms of poetic expression; her poetic brilliance is staggering! Total genius creative writing. Love, Love, Love it!

I can say I have held Alison in my arms because I have held her paperback heart in my hands. 'The Day Is Ready for You' is a stunning, masterful book of poetry and breath-taking prose. It took me 3 days to read. Why? Because I had to shut my eyes, close the book, and tilt my face to the treetops after every.single.page. This book is inspiring. I am inspired. You cannot finish this darling of a book without believing that, now, you are ready for the day, too.

It was pretty and thought provoking. At times i wasn’t feeling it but i think that was more my mood then the collection bc after taking a break I would come back and find poems I loved.

Alison has a way of making your heart feel and see the words in perfect images as you read... in a style that is beautifully and uniquely her own. As a woman. As a mother. As a human being... I am so uplifted by the hope and healing I have read within these pages. Such a beautiful collection of poetry.

I love Alison Malee and her poetry! You can really see the messy inner workings of her mind when reading her poetry. It reflects her thoughts in both a beautifully simple and complex way. Her writing style is stunning and unique, and I would definitely recommend reading Malee’s work.
