Q: What is the difference between panko and regular bread crumbs and can panko be substituted with the regular style of bread crumbs?

Panko breadcrumbs have a more course texture as they are larger “crumbs”. The only difference between Panko and regular breadcrumbs is in the size and texture of the crumb and there can be interchanged in recipes. Panko breadcrumbs will give a crispier/heartier coating if you are using it to coat food such as chicken or onion rings etc… I prefer panko for coating/breading and keep it in the house at all times. Great for frying and other cooking needs

We use this for quite a few recipes and for my carp bait. Works very well for both. Love to use it on my fried shrimp and fish with the proper seasoning. Tastes great and has a multitude of uses. As for the carp it holds up well as a pack bait and the fish seem to love it. Definitely well worth it and easy to use.
