Q: Description says this can be used with mail-down flooring. But nailing down will reduce the sound-dampening. Has anybody used this with nail-down?

I used this on second floor for nailed down installation of 3.25" engineered hardwood. It makes lots of squeak noise and like I am walking on bubble wrap. Not sure how is it working for others

Q: How thick is this underlayment?

About 1/8 " thick. It seems high quality.

Q: Will i be fine using 4.2 mm thick click together vinal planking?

You can use this product for any nail down or floating floor application. The thickness of this product is 0.125” or 3.175 mm. It will give you superior sound, moisture and R value compared to the regular Quietwalk underpayment. Hope this helps

Q: Can I use peel and stick vinyl with this underlayment?

I would not recommend that. The flex would eventually make the the adhesive fail.
